This is the picture of prize giving by Gen Ershad. I (Col Haroon) became the inter-service squash champion, and Lt Col Zafar bin Bashar was the runner-up. He is shown in uniform in this picture. This picture was published in national dailies of the day. I don't remember the date but the year was 1980.

​Organized by the Cadet Squash Fraternity in collaboration with the Bangladesh Squash Rackets Federation, this exceptional tournament brought together 40 brilliant cadets from 11 cadet colleges across the country. Breaking new ground, the inclusion of female cadets added a vibrant new dimension to this year's competition.

(18 May 2026), we had an effective and cordial engagement with the Youth & Sports Minister at his office. After initial introduction with exchange of momentos and gift, President has given him a through briefing on constraints including land/ complex and foreign coach issues, challenges and way forward to achieve international standard in squash. Minister has perceived affairs of BD Squash and given words to do the needful. He has also given consent to join in the Prize Distribution Ceremony of the 06 TurAag Active National Championship 2026 on 13 June. Let's see, how much BSRF can achieve.
