Kolabagan Premier League Season 5 – Match 2

If there was one word to describe this match, it would be EPIC! Yesterday, our team faced the toughest side in the league, making this one of the most high-voltage match of the tournament. But we believed that if we gave our best, victory would be ours.

After lots planning and strategizing among within the team, we had a clear goal—batting first if we won the toss. Fortune smiled on us, we won the toss and decided to bat.

Openers Faisal and Rabby took the crease, but the opposition’s fierce bowling lineup made scoring difficult. We lost wickets at one end, but Rabby stood like a wall, keeping the scoreboard running from the other end. When a couple of overs were remaining, many doubted our ability to put up a good total. That's when Md Mãfûz Îßlãm walked in and turned around the game. He was unstoppable!!!! His explosive innings shifted the momentum in our favor allowing us to score 98 runs in 8 overs, leaving the opposition with a challenging target with a run rate of over 12 per over.

Mahedi Shawon opened the bowling and started strong with three consecutive dot balls, building immediate pressure. On the next delivery, we had a golden chance to break through, but despite a great effort, a crucial catch slipped away, giving the opposition a lifeline. They grabbed on the opportunity, accelerating to 38 runs in 2 overs, putting us on the back foot.

At this stage, many spectators believed the match was becoming one-sided, but our team didn't panic. With the senior players and captain leading the way, we remained focused and executed our strategy. The turning point came when Shawon dismissed their star batsman, Alamin, triggering a collapse. Alongside him, Md Faisal and MD Humayun Kabir bowled brilliantly, shifting momentum in our favor.

With 42 runs needed off the last 2 overs and 31 in the final over, our disciplined bowling and sharp fielding tightened the grip. Hasan Ahmed held his nerve in the final over, restricting the opposition to 78 runs, securing a 20-run victory for us!

All our fielders gave their everything to save every single run. But there was this one moment of the match came when captain Shourov Noor pulled off a breathtaking one-handed catch, leaving everyone in shock!!! It was simply unbelievable! Huge shoutout to Rafsan for cheering up the team the entire time!!!!

Congratulations to Md Mãfûz Îßlãm for being the Man of the Match! You deserve more than this!

This win was more than just two points—it was a testament to our teamwork, determination, and belief. We conquered one of the league’s strongest teams, setting the tone for the rest of the tournament. Bring on the next challenge! 💪🏏🔥

Kolabagan Premier League Season 5 – Match 1

What a fantastic start to the tournament! School Buddy's kicked off Kolabagan Premier League Season 5 with an effortless victory.

Winning the toss, we decided to bowl first, and our bowlers, supported by sharp fielding, executed the plan to perfection. Shawon led from the front with two excellent overs, backed by strong support from Shourov, Kabir and Faisal. Kabir, Shourov and Rabby took some outstanding catches. We bowled out the opponents for just 77 runs in 8 overs!

Chasing 78 runs, our top order delivered with composure and confidence. Faisal was simply unstoppable, playing a brilliant knock and leading the chase with class. Mãfûz also played a vital role in sealing the win, contributing crucial runs at the right time. We wrapped up the match with 9 balls remaining!

Special congratulations to Faisal for being the well-deserved Man of the Match!
