Xcel Contender Series is redefining the future of women’s boxing in Bangladesh by creating opportunities for female athletes to rise beyond limitations and chase greatness on the global stage. 🇧🇩🥊

Professional boxers Rima Sarkar and Sagorika Chakma are two inspiring examples of this movement. Both athletes came from extremely rural and underprivileged backgrounds where sports facilities, training resources, and opportunities for girls are very limited.

Before stepping into boxing, Rima Sarkar was a football player. Her journey into boxing began after watching one of her coaches train boxers, sparking a dream to fight for something bigger. Like many girls in Bangladesh, she faced the common societal pressure of early marriage and family responsibilities. But Rima chose to break barriers and prove that women can pursue their passion while inspiring the next generation of female athletes. She believes every woman should have the freedom to discover and utilize her full potential in any field of life.

Sagorika Chakma, who comes from the mountainous region of Bangladesh, was inspired to start boxing after seeing videos of boxing’s poster boy Sura Krishna Chakma. Despite growing up in an area where life is difficult and resources are scarce, she dared to dream of becoming a professional boxer. Since beginning her training in 2023, she has carried the ambition of representing her region and showing the world that Bangladeshi women can succeed at the highest level of sports.

Today, Xcel Contender Series is providing these athletes with proper facilities, professional opportunities, and an international platform to grow their careers. More than just boxing, this platform represents hope, empowerment, and the rise of a new generation of female champions from Bangladesh. 🔥🥊

We are proud to announce the official signing ceremony of the Xcel Contender Series (XCS). This annual series will feature 6 events throughout the year, with one event taking place every 60 days, creating a consistent platform for fighters to grow and compete. Special thanks to Kloth for coming on board as our official sponsor and supporting the future of professional boxing in Bangladesh.

The boxing community has lost a true pillar of strength and a dedicated mentor who spent his life championing the sport in Bangladesh. His passion and leadership will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on in every athlete he inspired. The Xcel family is deeply grieving this immense loss and stands in solidarity with all those who were touched by his lifelong dedication to the ring.
