The exact number of "Razakars" within the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is a highly contentious political issue with no definitive, universally accepted figure.
In 2019, the Bangladesh government published an initial list of 10,789 Razakars (individuals who collaborated with Pakistani forces during the 1971 Liberation War). Following the publication of this list, claims emerged from political figures regarding the affiliation of those named:

BNP leaders claimed the list was politically motivated and not authentic, designed to malign their party.

The general perception is that the BNP has a history of association with anti-liberation forces like Jamaat-e-Islami.
The government intended to publish a more complete and updated list in the future, but this has been subject to criticism for potential errors and political bias. There is no official, agreed-upon number of BNP members who were Razakars.
