Denmark National Rollball Team

Distinguished guests today in Copenhagen from the International Roll Ball Federation. We hosted a meeting about the rules and regulations of roll ball and the future of the sport in Europe.

Victory! What a performance by the men's team against Senegal today - defense was solid as always, but in this game the attacking formations came together brilliantly. The Africans were beat 5-2 but Denmark could have scored even more goals. Later today, another hard match against the surprise contenders, Sri Lanka.

Unlucky! The men lost 4-1 to Iran and are out of the World Cup. It was a a very tense game that could have gone either way. Denmark received two red cards and their heroic efforts with a two-man disadvantage almost paid off - but in the end it wasn't quite enough. One red card in particular was highly controversial with Thomas Lilholt seemingly sent off for being choked by an Iranian.

On to the round of 16! With an emphatic 6-1 win over Sri Lanka, Denmark secure their place in the next round of the World Cup. Tomorrow, arch rivals Iran await in what is bound to be a physical and hard-fought affair.

A bad day at the office for both Danish teams today. The women lost out narrowly 1-0 to Argentina and the men lost a controversial match 5-3 to Kenya. The opponents were awarded three penalties and the Danes failed to establish a coherent and dangerous attacking formation.

Sadly, The Philippines didn't show up for the mens' first game and Denmark were awarded a 1-0 victory.

What a debut for the women! Turkey took a 6-0 beating in the first game of the world cup. This afternoon, the men will be facing The Philippines.
