বাইসাইকেলের দাম বাড়ার সম্ভাবনা: অর্থমন্ত্রীর বাজেট প্রস্তাবে নতুন শুল্ক আরোপের ইঙ্গিত

আগামী ২০২৬-২৭ অর্থবছরের প্রস্তাবিত বাজেটে দেশে বাইসাইকেলের দাম বাড়ার সম্ভাবনা দেখা দিয়েছে। স্থানীয়ভাবে উৎপাদিত বাইসাইকেলের যন্ত্রাংশ 'ফ্রি হুইল' আমদানির ওপর শুল্ক বাড়ানোর পরিকল্পনার কারণেই মূলত এই দাম বাড়তে পারে।

​অর্থ মন্ত্রণালয় সূত্রে জানা গেছে, দেশীয় শিল্পকে সুরক্ষা দিতে ফ্রি হুইল আমদানির ক্ষেত্রে বিদ্যমান আমদানি শুল্ক ১৫ শতাংশ থেকে বাড়িয়ে ২৫ শতাংশ করার প্রস্তাব করা হতে পারে। একই সাথে এর ওপর নতুন করে রেগুলেটরি শুল্ক (আরডি) আরোপের প্রস্তাবও থাকতে পারে।

​বাজেট পেশের সময় ও আকার:
আজ বৃহস্পতিবার (১১ জুন) বিকেল ৩টায় জাতীয় সংসদে আগামী ২০২৬-২৭ অর্থবছরের জন্য ৯ লাখ ৩৮ হাজার কোটি টাকার এই বিশাল আকারের প্রস্তাবিত বাজেট পেশ করবেন অর্থমন্ত্রী আমির খসরু মাহমুদ চৌধুরী।
​ব্যবসায়ী ও সংশ্লিষ্টদের ধারণা, আমদানিকৃত যন্ত্রাংশের ওপর শুল্ক বৃদ্ধির এই প্রস্তাব পাস হলে স্থানীয় বাজারে বাইসাইকেল তৈরির খরচ বাড়বে, যার সরাসরি প্রভাব পড়বে খুচরা মূল্যের ওপর।
