Friday Premier League - FPL

Don't want to overload the page with weekday match posts but today's performance of our very own Md. Wajidur Rahman should not go unnoticed. He scored 22 runs off just 9 balls where our other batsmen could not do much. Also, he took valuable 4 wickets with his fearsome bowling.

We don't usually post our weekday matches as it would be too much information for the page. We play on the weekends against new teams around the city and exploring grounds around cities as much as we can.

But today's match had a lot of note-worthy performances that needed a shout out. Team supreme collapsed in the batting order today unfortunately but who else comes to the rescue yet again? Our very own Mr. Cricket Saleh Mohi with an outstanding knock of 53 from just 27 balls. That too on a pitch that was proving to be difficult for all of the 21 players.

A moderate target was achieved thus far of 120 runs for elite eleven to chase from 16 overs. But boy oh boy! What a disciplined bowling performance from Mď Ârmäñ Hóssäîñ , Leo AL Amin , DF Tushar and Asaduzzaman Sumon !!!! Among which our young Speedster Arman took 4 wickets for just 16 runs! Asaduzzaman Shumon had an economy of just 6 runs per over!!!

Now, for the nail bitter!! Elite eleven needed 15 runs from the last 2 overs. On came Df Tushar and bowled the 15th over for a maiden!!!!! Bow down!!! In the last over 15 was required. And Leo Al-amin gave away just 1 run from the bat!

And supreme won the match! Congratulations to the boys!!!

Regardless of the intensity of my poor physical & mental condition, this beautiful sport & these lovely human beings never let me feel that when I stay among them. I've always found them beside me whenever I needed them most. Thats why these people are very very close to my heart & a special part of my tiny heart beats only for them. I am really sorry to those who I could not call for this match but surely for the next match you all will be in the squad. It's a sweet problem having a lot of sport loving people who enjoys passing time with our team "Supreme Lalbaghians".
On 20th October 2025, we played another friendly match in our own homeground against relatively new but highly competitive & star padded young guns of Lalbag named " Lalbag Dynamites". We let our youngster Ashraful Islam to play againt his own team to find out the class of the bowlers he plays along with. It was a sweet battle among the own players as he opened the innings of Lalbag Dynamites to face SL bowlers like Monju, Alamin, Salman & Bipul.
Match summery report: Supreme Lalbaghians won the match comprehensively by 7 wickets & 25 balls to spare. The top performers of the match were Salman with the ball (4-0-18-2) & Md Rabbi with the bat scoring unbeaten 108 from just 46 balls smashing 15 massive sixes. Monju bowled brilliantly for the figure of 3-0-27 but sadly went wicketless despite bowling amazingly. It requires to mention Nabil, the top youngster, of team Lalbag Dynamites scored unbeated 77 from just 41 balls.
It was a friendly get together within the environment of a cricket match that everyone enjoyed a lot. Those who missed this match, I hope to have your presence in the next match for your own team. What a day full of entertaining cricket all around! The gentleman's spirit was high and mighty all around as we played the second match of the series with Pakistan High Commission Bangladesh on this beautiful sunny day.

Team PHC started off strong this time with scoring a massive total of 195 from 20 overs. In reply, team Supreme started off strong but never could stabilize the innings. Great bowling from Wasim akhter, Md. Ejaj and Muhammad Anwar made it very very difficult for us to do so. Md. Ejaj was pick of the bowlers who took 3 wickets from 3 overs for 35.

And at one time things were not looking good when we needed 94 runs from 54 balls. Usually in these tight scenarios we look forward to our one man army, who has done it time and time again. Our very own Mr. Cricket Saleh Mohi but unfortunately he got out without troubling the scorecard this time!

Then our very own Rizve Khondaker and Abir Rasel played with great responsibility and experience to see us through. And what a comeback knock it was for niloy! Just shy of a half century for just 2 runs! Take a bow!

Out of 170+ teams registered and verified in cric heroes who play tape ball cricket, this is where we stand as the season begins.

We are grateful to the Almighty for what we have achieved so far and hope the gracious will bestow all his blessings for the season ahead.

It was an absolute delight to play Team PHC on this beautiful ground on a beautiful day! A day full of entertainment and crescendos of laughter was all around the ground as it was a day full of good cricket all around. We were certainly missing our all star Ave S Joy on the fields due to his sickness and today it was inevitably showing! :)

A very well played 50 from just 32 balls from our very own MD Din Islam milon secured our victory! But it was our friendship that was the winner of today!

New jersey of supreme lalbaghians are out!

This was our first match against Nikunja Weekend Cricketers and what a nail bitter of a finish it turned out to be!!!

Batting first team supreme started out strong but Team NWC came back strongly in the end restricting team supreme at 232 from 20 overs. With our very own Ashraful Islam scoring a quick fire 74 from just 25 balls and Armaan Hossain scoring 37 from just 19 balls. Around half way the predicted score was around 280+ just to give you the idea of how well NWC came back into the game.

Chasing a massive target of 232 team NWC collapsed pretty hard as they were 8 wickets down around 122 runs on the board. Our very own AB Siddik took 3 wickets and strong control as always from Abir Rasel as he ended up with the best economy yet again.

But then resilience from NWC! Nihath bhuiyan played an absolute one man army of an innings scoring 72 from 39 balls which inched team NWC close to victory.

In the end it was team supreme lalbaghians who won the game by a bare minimum!

Team supreme winning against team cric soft with a resilient performance by our very own Mohammad Nissan with the bat to make sure team supreme could reach a respectable total of 197 from 20 overs. Mr. Cricket Saleh Mohi played an absolute blinder of an innings with scoring 77 from just 35 balls!

To seal the victory for team supreme the stand out performance came from our highest wicket taker thus far Zahid Hossain monju who took 4 wickets!!!

For the whole month of August we played in our home ground due to uninterrupted rain. We had scheduled every Friday and Wednesday but only managed to play 4 games out of the lot. Sadly, the other 4 games got abandoned due to rain.

But today the weather was in our favor at last!

Another day of brotherhood, bond and respect ended with a smile on all of our faces, both for team supreme and team DX 27. Although the match ended in our favour everybody felt like it was cricket that won today!

Amazing innings by our Mr. Dependable our very own Mr. 360 Sajib Aziz for an amazing innings all around the ground. And as always strong resilience from Jony from team DX27 with a never die attitude fighting till the last over to almost win the impossible.

Congratulations to all.

The series remains perfectly poised at 2-1 in the favor of team supreme for now.

Cricket is a Gentleman's game. And to those who embodied the true spirit of the game; can then enjoy the poise, the friendship, the passion, the beauty of the sportsmanship within.

Today's match had it all. Although the result was not in favor of team supreme but nevertheless every single person both playing or in the crowd enjoyed the beautiful spirit of the game.

Although team supreme started well with their openers Amdadul Hoque Shehab and Ashraful Islam giving them a good foundation to begin with but the middle order collapsed like dominos immediately after we lost our Mr. Cricket Saleh Mohi quickly. Only notable innings came from his brother Rajin Nuruddin who hit 3 massive boundaries in the middle. Our emerging star Munna is turning out to be one of our greatest finishers recently and surely the spark began even today but unfortunately faded away quicker than we expected. It just wasn't our day.

In response, what an innings from Tamim Khan Drub !!!! Absolutely took the game away from us by scoring 54 from 27 balls with a strike rate of exactly 200! It was a treat to our eyes! Even though we are the one who were getting the bashing. We fought till the 11th over with a fierce fight back from Rahat Nawaz and Mď Ârmäñ Hóssäîñ who bowled with real pace and venom. But team DX was just too good for us today!
