বাংলাদেশের ক্রিকেটের সবচেয়ে বড় সমস্যা শেষ বেলা এসে বিদায়ের অপসংস্কৃতি। এই ধারা আর দেখতে চাই না। স্পোর্টসে তার অবদান কতটুকু রয়েছে সেটা বড় প্রশ্ন না! বরং তিনি যে দেশ হয়ে প্রতিনিধিত্ব করেছে এটাই বড় অর্জন। তাই দেশের মাটিতে সাকিবের শেষ টেস্টের সমস্ত নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করেছে যুব ও ক্রীড়া উপদেষ্টা জনাব আসিফ মাহমুদ। আমরা জানি বাংলাদেশের রাজনীতি সেক্টরটা বড় খারাপ। তবে আগের সরকার তাদের প্রয়োজনে জনপ্রিয় অ্যাথলেটিকদের ব্যবহার করেছে এটা সত্য। তাদের কারণে এরা আজ দেশের মানুষের কাছে বিলেন হয়ে গেছে! সবকিছুর জন্য যে ওরা দায়ী তেমনটা নাহ সে নিজেই দায়ী কারণ তার এই ডিসিশন নেয়া উচিত হয়নি যেহুতু তিনি দেশ সেরা একজন ক্রীড়াবিদ।

আসলে সাকিবের প্রতি আমার রাগ ক্ষোভ মূলত তামিমকে নিয়ে তার জঘন্য ইন্টারভিউ। আর অন্য কিছু না যাই হোক সাকিবের শেষ বেলা যেন রঙ্গিন হয় এবং দেশের জন্য স্মরনীয় হয়।
