“ HOW DO I TEACH KYOKUSHIN KARATE AND WHAT DO I EMPHASIZE ”
The way we say Dojo, it means a place to find out about yourself, a place to find enlightenment and your way, your sincere way. It's not a gym, club, a place of socializing or getting a date, but somewhere to study one’s own self, to learn techniques but also gain spiritual and mental knowledge. I hope all students keep on studying karate

because for them the dojo is also like a second home, each time they come they feel at ease, but also appreciate and feel more serious too. It's also very important, the way as a Sensei (teacher) to make a good program, what we call curriculum - it means the way you study. Each level has a certain amount of material a person has to learn, step by step, instead of everything right away. In some systems right after you learn a little bit and understand the basics you begin fighting. The dojo is not just a factory to produce strong fighters. This way so often people get injured, they get discouraged or uncomfortable then discontinue training. That's why it is very important; the way you set up the system, the proper way, so people continue to learn then everyone can benefit. Karate is not just fighting but also how you control your mind, your temper, your discipline and your morals. Every day I am learning from my existence, after a long period of my teaching profession I realize that as a teacher I have to observe individually because each student is physically and mentally different. The conditions are not exactly the same for everybody but karate should be for everybody, so especially in Kyokushin we are open to all kinds of students, even mentally disabled people, homeless children, deaf and blind people and others like them - there is room for everybody. Therefore everyone can study karate to develop their inner strength to take care of themselves and take control of their lives. I believe to study Kyokushin is the way of life, but as a karate-ka each person has a responsibility to be more open, to use whatever they learn from kyokushin and apply it in their everyday life - the way to control emotions, temper, morals, and discipline. The extent to which Kyokushin is applied to a person’s life the more true a karate-ka they become. That means a strong, true karate-ka is not just how many tournaments they compete and how many times they become champions, first place or in the top 4. Sometimes people think, “I am a great karate-ka because I became champion so many times" but how strong they are inside means how they dedicate their lives, how they carry on their discipline, that is important. That's why it is so important to maintain and show discipline in the dojo. Especially in Kyokushin, we have so many different types of people, handicapped people, disabled people but still those people seriously learn karate. Then we all realize more and appreciate what we have and how lucky we are to be practicing Kyokushin Karate.

My four dearest students—Miftah, Raisa, Baral, and Ziko—have finally earned their Black Belts. As a Sensei, words cannot express how immensely proud and overjoyed I am.
I have never seen them merely as students, they are my family.
I have witnessed every single drop of sweat, every moment of exhaustion, and every near-breaking struggle they went through. I know firsthand the mountains they had to climb to achieve this milestone.

I am endlessly proud of all my students. I have always wanted to be their shield in times of storm and their backbone in times of weakness. I don't know how successful I've been in that, but there is no doubt that they have successfully conquered the first major battle of their Kyokushin journey.

Miftah Rahman Khan Do you remember that day fifteen years ago?
The boy who used to stand before me, trembling and too nervous to even speak properly—today, that same boy is my most reliable companion.
When he first walked into the dojo, anyone looking at him would have thought it impossible to ever tie this restless, slightly rebellious spirit down to any discipline. Yet, for reasons beyond logic, I loved this boy and drew him close to my heart. Miftah has honored my trust and love one hundredfold. He has transformed himself into a deeply responsible man, building an ironclad sense of leadership within. When it comes to ethics and genuine human character, Miftah is now a example. My only prayer is that until my very last breath in this world, this boy remains by my side. Lots of love to you, Miftah.

Sarajit Baral Traveling all the way from Chittagong to Dhaka for training was never an easy task, but we Kyokushin karateka—when have we ever looked for the easy way out?
As a busy corporate professional caught in a whirlwind of daily pressure, incredibly emotional, and a bit absent-minded—surviving and establishing a foothold in a raw, brutal sport like Kyokushin was no small feat. But he did it nicely. Proud of you, Baral. Much love to you.

Raisa Fareen Chowdhury, I have never seen a girl with such crippling self-doubt. A girl who was once afraid to cross the street by herself is today a Black Belt holder in a brutal martial art like Kyokushin! Can you imagine?
No matter how paralyzed by fear Raisa might have been, deep down in her eyes, I always saw a brilliant, fiercely intelligent spark waiting to break free. If you know how to guide and discipline her, she is capable of moving mountains. She has taken her fair share of scoldings and strict corrections from me, but through it all, she never once lost sight of respect for her teacher.
I am a witness to every single chapter of her development from Day 1 to today, and Raisa’s achievement inspires me to be a better teacher every single day. Endless prayers and love to you, Raisa.

Yesterday marked a historic and deeply emotional milestone for Kyokushin Karate Bangladesh—our Black Belt Giving Ceremony 2026.

Years of sweat, relentless discipline, unbroken spirit, and grueling physical and mental endurance have finally culminated in this moment of glory. We are immensely proud to announce that this year:

🔹 7 dedicated Trainee successfully earned their 1st Dan Black Belt.
🔹 1 exceptional Trainee advanced to achieve his 2nd Dan Black Belt.

We were deeply honored to have Mr. Bobby Hajjaj , MP, Honorable State Minister, Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, grace the occasion as our Chief Guest. As a proud former senior member of Kyokushin Bangladesh, his presence added extraordinary meaning to the day.

In a truly inspiring moment that left everyone awestruck, our Honorable State Minister stepped onto the floor and successfully performed a powerful wood board breaking demonstration to ignite the fighting spirit of our karatekas! 💥

The path of Kyokushin Karate is never easy, it is an endless pursuit forged through sweat, blood, and relentless sacrifice. Yesterday marked a deeply emotional and magnificent milestone—the “Kyokushin Karate Bangladesh Black Belt Giving Ceremony 2026.

Through years of grueling physical and mental endurance, our students have finally earned their hard-fought Black Belts. This year, 7 of our dedicated fighters successfully achieved their 1st Dan, and 1 fighter advanced to earn his 2nd Dan.

The breathtaking kata and martial arts demonstrations performed by our newly promoted Black Belts left everyone in attendance spellbound.

We were deeply honored to have Mr. Bobby Hajjaj, MP, Honorable State Minister, Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, grace the occasion as our Chief Guest. Not only did he hand over the belts and certificates to our warriors, but he also made a visionary announcement regarding the inclusion of martial arts as part of mandatory physical education for 4th and 5th-grade students in primary schools—a landmark moment of immense pride for our entire martial arts community.

To our warriors: A Black Belt is not the end of the journey; rather, it is the true beginning of your Kyokushin life. Your hardships, patience, and unbreakable spirit will pave the way for future generations. As an instructor, witnessing your triumph fills my heart with boundless pride.

Wishing all of you the very best from the bottom of my heart. The road ahead is long, and we must keep pushing forward.

The Strength Behind Every Step

In Kyokushin, every training session is a silent conversation between the mind and the body. Every drop of sweat, every challenge overcome, and every moment of perseverance shapes a martial artist far beyond physical ability.

A Kyu Grade Promotion is not simply an achievement—it is a reminder that discipline must become a habit, humility must remain a constant companion, and learning never truly ends.

Each new belt carries greater responsibility. It demands cleaner technique, sharper focus, stronger character, and an unwavering respect for the Dojo, instructors, and fellow practitioners. The color of the belt may change, but the spirit of continuous improvement must remain the same.

Congratulations to everyone who has earned their promotion. Wear your new grade with pride, but let your actions speak louder than your belt.
