“ HOW DO I TEACH KYOKUSHIN KARATE AND WHAT DO I EMPHASIZE ”
The way we say Dojo, it means a place to find out about yourself, a place to find enlightenment and your way, your sincere way. It's not a gym, club, a place of socializing or getting a date, but somewhere to study one’s own self, to learn techniques but also gain spiritual and mental knowledge. I hope all students keep on studying karate

The belt is cheap. The price is everything else.

Everyone starts martial arts for the same reason — respect, status, the confidence that comes with a black belt tied around your waist. It’s a symbol people recognize instantly. What they don’t see are the thousands of hours that make it mean something.

The real journey is unglamorous and unmarketable. It’s early mornings when you’d rather sleep. It’s drilling the same technique until your hands bleed and your ego begs you to quit. It’s injuries that set you back months, failures that humiliate you in front of the dojo, and the quiet decision to show up anyway. Years of practice strip away the fantasy that mastery is fast, easy, or given to you.

That’s why the crowd runs toward the belt, but the path behind it stays empty. The black belt isn’t a reward you chase. It’s a byproduct of falling in love with a process most people won’t tolerate. You don’t earn it when you get it. You earn it every time you choose the stairs nobody else wants to climb.

We are incredibly honored to announce that the legendary leader of the International Karate Organization (IKO), Kancho Shokei Matsui, will be visiting Bangladesh this November for the 18th All Asia Open Karate Championship 2026.

To be candid, 95 to 99% of Kyokushin karateka in Bangladesh have never had the opportunity to see Kancho Matsui in person. This is not just a tournament; it is a rare, life-changing milestone for our community. Through this historic event, a gateway is opening for us to receive direct training, technical insights, and the profound wisdom of the Kancho himself.

Why this event is a must-attend:
A Rare Encounter: This is a golden opportunity to witness and learn directly from the global leader of Kyokushin, Kancho Shokei Matsui.

nternational Excellence: Witness world-class competition as elite fighters from across the Asia gather on our home land.

The Spirit of Osu: It is a celebration of discipline, strength, and sportsmanship—a true gathering of the global Kyokushin family.

For those of us who have dedicated our lives to the way of Kyokushin, this event is more than a competition; it is a source of immense motivation and growth. Let us come together to support the rise of martial arts in Bangladesh and honor the true spirit of the fighting arts.

Dear Students,

As we observe the sacred occasion of Eid al-Adha, we are reminded that this day stands as the ultimate symbol of sacrifice. On the rigorous path of Kyokushin, we know that true strength is never self-serving. To live the 'Osu spirit means choosing to carry a heavier burden. Some are destined to endure more, absorbing the ultimate hardships of sacrifice so that those around them may find strength, safety, and growth.

In our Dojo Kun, we pledge to look for the true meaning of the Martial Way—which is not about conquering others, but conquering our own weaknesses. True power lies in the nobility of what we give. Let your lives be illuminated by the glory of selflessness. If our sacrifices, our relentless discipline, or our compromises can bring peace, elevation, and comfort to another human being, a Kyokushin fighter must never hesitate, compromise, or step back.

May this blessed Eid inspire you to transcend self-interest, to lift up those around you, and to discover the true meaning of honor through ultimate dedication and service to others.
Keep your heads low, your eyes high, your mouths shut, and your hearts open.

Wishing you and your families a blessed, disciplined, and deeply meaningful Eid al-Adha.

Osu!
Warm regards,
Sensei Arif
