Two days of learning, dialogue, and shared reflections in Cox's Bazar.
Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI) organized a two-day workshop and dialogue on “Peaceful Democratic Transition in Bangladesh,” bringing together journalists, youth, students, political leaders and social activists.
On the first day, participants explored the information ecosystem, responsible use of information, and the fundamentals of fact-checking. Through interactive sessions, they learned how to identify misinformation and disinformation and verify online content effectively.
On the second day, youth participants presented their ideas and action plans to civil society representatives, demonstrating how they can apply the knowledge and skills gained from the workshop to promote fact-checking, civic awareness, and social cohesion within their own communities.
Together, these discussions highlighted the important role of informed citizens in fostering democratic values, countering harmful information, and building a more peaceful future.
