"Bangladesh Lathi Khela Samity" is dedicated to preserving and promoting the ancient folk combat art of Lathi Khela, where stick-fighting techniques blend with rhythmic musical instruments.
Once a vibrant form of entertainment in village gatherings, Lathi Khela embodies both martial skill and cultural expression.
Historically, landlords (Jamindars) employed skilled Lathials as a means of asserting power and influence in rural Bengal.
The Samity under the leadership of Siddhacharya Yuree Vajramunee, now works to revive this heritage, ensuring its transmission to future generations as a symbol of tradition and identity.
