ইশতিয়াক খান আমেল, সম্প্রতি আরেক ফিমেইল রানারকে আ্যসল্ট করে মারাত্মক ভাবে আহত করেছেন। একজন পুরুষ রানার এমন হীন এবং ঘৃন্য ঘটনায় বিডিরানার্স পরিবার যারপরনাই বিব্রত লজ্জিত এবং ক্ষুদ্ধ

বিডিরানার্সের নৈতিকতা, উদ্দেশ্য এবং সামাজিক ভাবনার সম্পূর্ন পরিপন্থি এমন বর্বরোচিত ঘটনা ঘটানোর জন্যে ইশতিয়াক আমেলকে বিডিরানার্স সংশ্লিষ্ট সবধরনের কর্মকান্ড থেকে পরিত্যাজ্য ঘোষনা করা হলো
এবং সকল রানিং কমিউনিটিকে সব ধরনের ইভেন্ট থেকে আমেলকে পরিত্যাগ করার জন্যে অনুরোধ করা হলো।

রোকেয়া সাখাওয়াৎ হোসেনের জন্ম এবং আন্তর্জাতিক নারী নির্যাতন প্রতিরোধ পক্ষ উপলক্ষে আজ আয়োজিত হল ৩য় “রোকেয়া রান”।রোকেয়া নারী পুরুষের সমতার যে স্বপ্ন দেখেছিলেন, আমরা শত বাধা পেরিয়ে, তার স্বপ্ন নিজেদের মধ‍্যে ধারন করে এগিয়ে চলেছি।

Bangladesh Mahila Parishad এবং BDRunners র যৌথ উদ্যোগে বিভিন্ন রানিং কমিউনিটির সদস্য, নারী নেত্রীবৃন্দ এবং নানা শ্রেনী পেশার প্রায় ২০০ রানার শহীদ মিনার থেকে, শাহাবাগ মোড় এবং ফুলার রোড হয়ে শহীদ মিনারে এই দৌড় শেষ করে। সার্বিক সহযোগিতায় নিয়োজিত সকল ভলান্টিয়ার, বিশেষত DURC ভাই বোনদের প্রতি আমাদের কৃতজ্ঞতা 🙏🏾।
