We are incredibly proud to see Farzeen officially arrive in Toronto, Canada to serve as a FIFA World Cup Ceremonies Volunteer. Even more remarkably she is the only volunteer who traveled from Bangladesh to Canada for this opportunity.

As a Pre-Match Ceremonies Volunteer, Farzeen will play a key role behind the scenes and on the field—supporting players, coordinating match-day ceremonies, assisting with pre-match operations and proudly carrying country banners alongside participating teams.

Moments like these remind us that sports create opportunities far beyond competition. They open doors to global experiences, cultural exchange, leadership, and lifelong memories. Seeing a young Bangladeshi woman represent herself and her country on one of the world's biggest sporting stages is truly inspiring.

This achievement is especially meaningful for us as Aiesha becomes another member of the Deshi Ballers community to be part of a FIFA World Cup. A few years ago one of our players had the opportunity to volunteer at the FIFA World Cup and now it is inspiring to see Aiesha continue that legacy on the global stage. 💛

Opportunities like this are earned through dedication, curiosity, hard work and the courage to embrace new experiences. Seeing young Bangladeshi women represent themselves, their communities and their country at the world's biggest sporting events gives us immense pride and hope for the future.

Our Leaders on Court athletes finished the month strong, putting in the work, sharpening their skills, and supporting one another every step of the way. Every practice is another opportunity to learn, lead, and improve.

Today we had the pleasure of meeting Bill McCammon, American basketball coach, educator, and mentor whose career spans collegiate, professional, and international basketball across multiple countries. We were inspired by his genuine passion for growing women’s basketball and his commitment to sharing knowledge, supporting communities, and opening doors for the next generation of boys and girls in basketball. 🏀

We gifted him a copy of Pass It to Rizwana, Bangladesh’s first children’s book on girls in sports, and he also shared with us a book on coaching girls’ basketball. Learning is always a two-way street. 💙

When people come together with a common purpose, basketball becomes more than a game. It becomes a bridge between cultures, generations, and communities, all working toward the same goal: creating more opportunities for boys and girls to dream, play, and lead. 🌍✨
