Ideal for cross country racing and trail riding, the Pinarello Dogma Xc16 Hardtail Frame features a high-quality carbon construction and an advanced asymmetric frame design for increased stability, comfort and control.
Traditional bike frames have the rear stays directly connected to the top tube, this means that every vibration coming from the rear triangle is directly transferred to the top tube and often to the handlebar, thus compromising comfort and handling. To enhance performance and comfort, Pinarello has divided the two main triangles, moving the rear triangle higher. This solution is associated with the asymmetric bifurcated rear stays, drastically reducing the shock from the rear for improved handling and stability.
This is the meaning of ONDA XC Twin Arms Asymmetric.

PINAFIT with Forkstopper Technology
On DOGMA XC frames, Pinarello has applied their PINAFIT with Forkstopper Technology that enables you to exploit the full power of the perfect front triangle.

All MTB manufacturers build their own frames on the assumption that the front fork should rotate 360°. This forces them to stretch the main triangle inevitably compromising its own natural stiffness, contrarily to that of road frames. With PINAFIT pushing on the pedals, you have the unbeatable feeling of riding a road bike, the front triangle has exceptional lateral stiffness because it is a perfect triangle. And, the Forkstopper also protects frame and handlebars in case of falls, preventing their impact with the top tube.

2-WAY RELEASE

The trigger lever of a RAPIDFIRE PLUS gear lever is usually called a trigger because it is pulled towards the handle like the trigger of a pistol. The trigger lever of the RAPIDFIRE PLUS shifters from SHIMANO ALIVIO to XTR can be operated in the same way. With him, however, can also be optionally switched by thumb pressure.

Special tooth function

SHIMANO's DYNAMIC CHAIN ENGAGEMENT + is a special tooth profile for single chainrings in the XC, Enduro and Trail applications.

It improves the support and guidance of the chain and facilitates pedaling even in rough terrain. The improved chain guide in each gear reduces wear and tear.

HYPERGLIDE +

HYPERGLIDE + is the starter for the new-generation MTB experience, allowing for the first time consistent pedaling on virtually any terrain. The completely redesigned drive system with its proprietary chain allows for faster shifting, efficient power transmission and unprecedented chain stability.

HYPERGLIDE + helps drivers master rough terrain confidently. It dampens pedaling and shortens switching times by a third (compared to the current HG system)

RAPIDFIRE MONO PLUS

The RAPIDFIRE PLUS MONO lever is a user-friendly and simple front switching element in a lightweight and compact design. It allows comfortable upshifting and downshifting.

SERVO WAVE

The SERVOWAVE brake lever absorbs a lot of braking distance at the beginning of its movement, so that the pads can be guided to the brake disc with a small lever travel. After application of the brake lining, the force transmission factor increases rapidly. The greater part of the lever travel is thus still available to increase the braking force and to dose more targeted.

ICE TECHNOLOGY FREEZA

ICE TECHNOLOGIES in combination with the FREEZA brake disc construction ensures fast heat dissipation. This leads to a more uniform braking performance under extreme conditions, extends the life of the brake pad and reduces braking force loss and brake noise.
