৪ এপ্রিল ২০১৬ সোমবার বিকেল ৪টায় পিএমআই বাংলাদেশ চ্যাপটার কার্যালয়ে পিএমআই, বাংলাদেশ চ্যপ্টার প্রেসিডেন্ট-এর সঙ্গে এক অনানুষ্ঠানিক সাক্ষাৎ করেন বাংলাদেশে পরিচালিত সোলার প্লান্ট প্রকল্পের জ্যেষ্ঠ প্রকল্প পরিচালক জনাব হ্যনবো ইয়ু। বাংলাদেশ চ্যপ্টার প্রেসিডেন্ট পেশাদার জীবনকে সফল করার লক্ষ্যে পিএমপি কোর্স-এর গুরুত্ব বর্ণনা করেন। পিএমআই বাংলাদেশ চ্যাপটার-এর কার্যক্রম ব্যাখ্যা করার পর জনাব হ্যনবো ইয়ু পিএমআই গ্লোবাল এবং বাংলাদেশ চ্যপ্টার-এর সদস্য হওয়ার জন্য আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করেন। পরে তিনি গ্লোবাল পিএমাই এবং বাংলাদেশ চ্যপ্টারের সদস্য হন। বাংলাদেশ চ্যপ্টারের সঙ্গে কাজ করার ইচ্ছাও প্রকাশ করেন । পিএমাই বাংলাদেশ চ্যপ্টারের সদস্য হওয়ায় বাংলাদেশ চ্যপ্টার প্রেসিডেন্ট তাঁকে স্বাগত জানান।

গত ২এপ্রিল শনিবার ২০১৬, দুপুর ২:০০টায় 'Project Management as Professional Career' শিরণামে ‘পি,এম, আই বাংলাদেশ চ্যাপ্টার’ এক সেমিনারের আয়োজন করে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এবং দৃক আই, সি, টি-এর সহযোগিতায়। মার্চ মাসে উত্তির্ণ পি,এম,পি এমডি. আমিনুল ইসলামকে শুভেচ্ছা স্মারক তুলেদেন সেশনচেয়ার এবং ‘পি,এম, আই বাংলাদেশ চ্যাপ্টার’-এর প্রেসিডেন্ট এস এম আলতাফ হোসেন। এ মাস থেকেই পিএমআই বাংলাদেশ চ্যাপ্টার প্রতিমাসেই নতুন পি,এম,পি-দের সম্মাননা স্মারক প্রদানের মাধ্যমে সম্মানিত করবে বলে ঘোষণা দেন চ্যাপটার প্রেসিডেন্ট।
