কর্মক্ষেত্রে সাফল্য অর্জনে শিক্ষার্থীদের দিক-নির্দেশনায়: ভয়েস অব বিজনেস

ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ব্যবসায় অনুষদের প্রথম ছাত্রছাত্রীচালিত ক্লাব “ভয়েস অব বিজনেস” প্রথমবারের মত গত ১২ ই নভেম্বর, রবিবার দুপুর ২ টায় ব্রিটিশ আমেরিকান টোবাকো লিমিটেড (বিএটি) এবং এসিআই লিমিটেড এর মানব সম্পদ বিভাগের দুজন প্রধানকে নিয়ে আয়োজন করে "ট্রান্সফরমেশন টু সাকসেস: স্টুডেন্টস টু প্রফেশনালস" নামক একটি সেমিনার। ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ব্যবসায় শিক্ষা অনুষদের কনফারেন্স হলে সেমিনারটি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

সেখানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ভয়েস অফ বিসনেস এর প্রধান পৃষ্ঠপোষক অধ্যাপক শিবলী রুবাইয়াতুল ইসলাম, ডিন, ব্যবসায় শিক্ষা অনুষদ, ঢাবি। বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে ছিলেন রুমানা রহমান, হিউম্যান রিসোর্স প্রধান, ব্রিটিশ আমেরিকান টোবাকো লিমিটেড এবং মইনুল ইসলাম, হিউম্যান রিসোর্স ডিরেক্টর, এসিআই লিমিটেড। অনুষ্ঠানের শুরুতেই বক্তব্য রাখেন অধ্যাপক শিবলী রুবাইয়াতুল ইসলাম তিনি বলেন, "বর্তমান চাকুরীবাজারে প্রতিযোগিতা অনেক বেশি। আর এই প্রতিযোগিতায় টিকে থাকতে হলে ছাত্রছাত্রীদেরকে এখন থেকেই প্রস্তুতি নিতে হবে”

রুমানা রহমান, হিউম্যান রিসোর্স প্রধান, ব্রিটিশ আমেরিকান টোবাকো লিমিটেড-তার চাকুরীজীবনের অভিজ্ঞতা এবং অভিমত ব্যক্ত করে বলেন, "পটভূমি যাই হোক না কেন, আমাদের নিজেদেরই সিদ্ধান্ত নিতে হবে যে আমরা আমাদের ভবিষ্যৎ কোন দিকে নিয়ে যাব।" তিনি বিএটি বাংলাদেশ এর মানবসম্পদ বিভাগ নিয়ে ছাত্রছাত্রী দের বিভিন্ন জিজ্ঞাসার উত্তর দেন। এছাড়াও এসিআই লিমিটেডের হিউম্যান রিসোর্স ডিরেক্টর মইনুল ইসলাম তার বিশেষ অভিজ্ঞতার আলোকে ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের উদ্দেশ্যে বলেন," "যদি হতেই হয় তাহলে বিশেষজ্ঞ হও, সাধারণ কিছু না হয়ে । তোমাদের উচিত সময় এবং সুযোগকে কাজে লাগিয়ে নিজেকে সফলতার পথে নিয়ে যাওয়া।“

উল্লেখ্য, ভয়েস অব বিজনেস প্রতিষ্ঠার শুরু থেকেই ব্যবসায় অনুষদের ছাত্রছাত্রীদের উন্নয়নের লক্ষ্যে নানা ধরনের কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের একমাত্র বিজনেস ম্যাগাজিন প্রকাশনায় তাদের খ্যাতি রয়েছে। সম্প্রতি তারা তাদের “Voice of Business” ম্যাগাজিনের অষ্টম সংস্করণ প্রকাশ করে।

Transformation to Success: Students to Professionals

VoB is the largest student run publication of the country is run by the students of 9 departments of Faculty of Business Studies business, University of Dhaka, known as the highest echelon of academic excellence in Bangladesh. Its continuous practice to make the students update with the corporate world has buckled up to launch a seminar on “Transformation to success: student to professionals”.

The seminar will be basically on HR insights for the students. HR department of an organization performs human resource management, hire employees and overseeing various aspects of employment standards. Before entering into the job market, students need to know the lying challenges before them and ways to prepare themselves for it. A seminar of such kind can prevail that for them.

The resource persons of the seminar are Ms. Rumana Rahman, Head of HR, British American To***co Bangladesh (BAT) and Md. Moinul Islam, Director of HR, ACI Ltd.
The event will take place at the Conference Hall of Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka on 12th November 2017 at 2pm.

VoB is always ready to resonate itself by seminars and events on different areas of the business world and therefore, help the students to transform them to students to professional so they can embrace the competitive world.
Since its inception in 2007, VoB has created opportunities for the business students for skill development and knowledge enhancement through connecting them with prominent business leaders of the time. It also works as a platform to express business related thoughts and perception of young leaders.

Finland Professor calls on DU VC

Professor Erkky Sutinen of Information Technology Department of the University of Turku, Finland called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman today September 25, 2017 at the latter’s office of the university. Director General of the Department of Public Libraries Ashish Kumar Sarker was present on this occasion.

During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs on humanities, information technology and computer science by the University of Dhaka and the University of Turku, Finland. The possibilities of holding of inter-religious dialogue under the joint auspices of these two universities were also discussed in the meeting. They agreed to sign a MoU in this regard soon.

মুখর পরিবেশে মেতে উঠেছিল ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের
ব্যবসায় শিক্ষা অনুষদের ভয়েস অফ বিযনেস(ভিওবি)
ক্লাবটি। ভিওবি বরাবরই নিজেদের একটি বিযনেস ক্লাবের
পরিবর্তে পরিবার বলে পরিচয় দিতেই বেশি স্বাচ্ছন্দ
বোধ করে। গত শনিবার ২ ঘন্টা ব্যাপী অনুষ্ঠানের
মধ্য দিয়ে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে কমিটি ২০১৭-২০১৮ বরণ করে
নিল নতুন সদস্যদের। পরিবারে নতুন সদস্যদের বরণ
করে নিতে উপস্থিত ছিলেন পূর্বের বিভিন্ন কমিটির
সাবেক প্রেসিডেন্ট ও উইং প্রধান।
উল্লেখ্য, গত অগাস্ট মাসে কমিটি ২০১৭-২০১৮ ভারপ্রাপ্ত
থাকা অবস্থায় তিন পর্বের কঠিন নিয়োগ প্রক্রিয়ার
মাধ্যমে প্রায় ৪২৫ জনের মধ্যে থেকে সেরা ৫৩
জনকে বেছে নেয় নিজেদের উত্তরসূরী
হিসেবে।
অনুষ্ঠানের শুরুতে ক্লাবের বিভিন্ন কমিটির সাবেক
প্রেসিডেন্ট সহ বর্তমান কমিটির সকল উইংপ্রধান,
প্রেসিডেন্ট নিজেদের অনুভূতি, অভিজ্ঞতা ও
নতুনদের প্রতি তাদের প্রত্যাশা ব্যক্ত করে। তারপর হয়
‘আইসব্রেকিং’ পর্ব যেখানে নতুনেরা নিজেদের
সৃজনশীল মেধার পরিচয় তুলে ধরে নাচ গান ও খেলার
মধ্য দিয়ে। প্রসঙ্গত, ভয়েস অফ বিযনেস এ বছর ১০ম
বছরে পদার্পণ করেছে এবং নতুনদের নিয়ে আরো
একটি নতুন ইতিহাস রচনায় পা বাড়ানোতে প্রতিজ্ঞবোধ্য।

A New Beginning of Voice of Business
Voice of Business (VoB), the largest student-run publication in Bangladesh, an elite business club of the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka, is all
set to add some new touchstones in the glorious VoB history with the new committee 2017-2018.
On 23rd September, 2017 Mortuza Ahmed, President of 2016-2017 committee of Voice of Business handed over the presidency to the new president, Tanveer Ahmod.
The new committee consists of total 09 wings. This year two new wings have been added to the committee which are- Communication wing and Logistics wing.
Voice of Business has been working relentlessly for bridging the gap between the corporate world and the business students. It has been organizing several seminars, workshops and competitions from last ten
years to give the business students the practical knowledge about the corporate world. The club publishes a business magazine every year. This year they published their 8Th issue through their signature event
of the year- VoB Week. The previous committee of 2016-2017 launched a national competition named TEERBRANDrill 2017. Almost 400 teams from all over the
country took part in this branding competition.
The new committee 2017-2018 is committed to uphold the legacy of VoB. It will be working for publishing the 9th issue of VoB magazine. And they also have a vision to organize BRANDrill 2018 in a grandiose way. Some of
the alumni, previous and current committee members, associates and executives were present during the committee handover ceremony. Alumni congratulated the
new committee and wished them luck for taking the club towards a successful journey.

With a vision of building a community of business students and leaders and a strong network system, VoB is still growing strong. Its mission is to create opportunities for the business students for skill development and knowledge enhancement through connecting them with prominent business leaders of the time and establishing strong ties with industry experts from diverse fields.
As a business magazine, VoB works as a platform to express the business related thoughts and perceptions of young learners. It creates a pool of information under a single magazine for broader understanding of business leadership, industry innovation, international perspectives, and career tracking advice. Moreover VoB has interviewed some of the iconic and luminary business figures such as, Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus, economist Dr. Debapriya Bhattachariya over the time and shared their philosophy with its readers. Since the first issue, VoB has delivered captious acumen to the business world and following the legacy VoB is looking forward to unveil their 8th issue in their signature week long program named “VoB week 2017”, where they will also arrange seminars, outdoor activities, and celebrate their 10 year anniversary in a festive manner.

Apart from the unveiling ceremony, the major attractions of the event will be seminars on the cover story of the magazine, Women Empowerment in the corporate field, and Branding. In these seminars some of the industry experts, iconic figures will come and share their knowledge, insights and motivation among the students. The students will get a precious opportunity to learn firsthand from the experts through interactive sessions.

September, 2017 and the seminar on Women
Empowerment in the corporate field and Branding will
take place in the next day in the FBS premises. The
event will entirely be organized by VoB with the
valuable guidance of their honorable Chief patron, Dean
Prof. Shibli Rubayet-Ul-Islam.
The Daily Observer, Bonik Barta, Radio Shadhin and
DuTimz will be the media partner for the event.

ভর্তির আবেদন কার্যক্রম শুরু

ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ২০১৭-২০১৮ শিক্ষাবর্ষে ১ম বর্ষ স্নাতক সম্মান শ্রেণীতে অনলাইনের মাধ্যমে প্রার্থীদের ভর্তির আবেদন প্রক্রিয়া আজ ৭ আগস্ট ২০১৭ সোমবার থেকে শুরু হয়েছে। আগামী ২৯ আগস্ট ২০১৭ মঙ্গলবার রাত ১০:০০টা পর্যন্ত এই প্রক্রিয়া অব্যাহত থাকবে। ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক ড. আ আ ম স আরেফিন সিদ্দিক আজ অপরাহ্নে কেন্দ্রীয় ভর্তি অফিসে আয়োজিত এক অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থেকে এই ভর্তি কার্যক্রমের আনুষ্ঠানিক উদ্বোধন করেন।

এসময় চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক ড. ইফতেখার উদ্দিন চৌধুরী, ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রো-উপাচার্য (শিক্ষা) অধ্যাপক ড. নাসরীন আহমাদ, প্রো-উপাচার্য (প্রশাসন) অধ্যাপক ড. মো. আখতারুজ্জামান, কোষাধ্যক্ষ অধ্যাপক ড. মো: কামাল উদ্দীন, অনলাইন ভর্তি কমিটির আহ্বায়ক অধ্যাপক ড. হাসিবুর রশীদ, বিভিন্ন অনুষদের ডিন, বিভিন্ন বিভাগের চেয়ারম্যান, বিভিন্ন ইনস্টিটিউটের পরিচালক, বিভিন্ন হলের প্রভোস্ট, ভারপ্রাপ্ত রেজিস্ট্রার এবং সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্মকর্তাগণ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

ভর্তি প্রক্রিয়া উদ্বোধন করে উপাচার্য বলেন, এ বছর ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের আবেদনের যোগ্যতা গতবারের মতোই রাখা হয়েছে। কিছু নতুন বিভাগ চালু হওয়ায় এবং কিছু বিভাগ ও ইনস্টিটিউটে আসন বৃদ্ধি করায় মোট আসনের সংখ্যা বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে। পরীক্ষার হলে ক্যালকুলেটর, মোবাইল ফোন বা টেলিযোগাযোগ করা যায় এরূপ কোন ইলেক্ট্রনিক ডিভাইস/যন্ত্র/ঘড়ি সম্পূর্ণ নিষিদ্ধ। পরীক্ষা চলাকালে মোবাইল কোর্ট দায়িত্ব পালন করবে।

এ শিক্ষাবর্ষে মোট আসন সংখ্যা রয়েছে ৭০৫৩টি। এর মধ্যে ক-ইউনিটে ১৭৬৫টি, খ-ইউনিটে ২৩৬৩টি, গ-ইউনিটে ১২৫০টি, ঘ-ইউনিটে ১৫৪০টি এবং চ-ইউনিটে ১৩৫টি আসন রয়েছে। গত বছর এ সংখ্যা ছিল ৬৮০০টি। এছাড়া, জাপানিজ স্টাডিজ বিভাগেও এবছর শিক্ষার্থী ভর্তি করা হবে উপাচার্য জানান। এই বিভাগে আসন রয়েছে ৩০টি।

এ বছরও ব্যাংক সার্ভিস চার্জ ও অনলাইন সার্ভিস ফিসহ ভর্তি পরীক্ষার ফি ৩৫০/-(তিনশত পঞ্চাশ) টাকা নির্ধারণ করা হয়েছে। টাকা জমা দেয়ার শেষ তারিখ ৩০ আগস্ট ২০১৭। ‘গ’ ও ‘চ’ ইউনিটের প্রবেশপত্র ডাইনলোড করা যাবে ৩০ আগস্ট বিকাল ৩টা থেকে পরীক্ষার দিন সকাল ৯টা পর্যন্ত। ‘ক’, ‘খ’, ‘ঘ’ ইউনিটের প্রবেশপত্র ডাইনলোড করা যাবে ১২ সেপ্টেম্বর বিকাল ৩টা থেকে পরীক্ষার দিন সকাল ৯টা পর্যন্ত ।

উল্লেখ্য, ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কারিগরি সহায়তায় এ বছর চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ১ম বর্ষ স্নাতক সম্মান শ্রেণীতে অনলাইনের মাধ্যমে প্রার্থীদের ভর্তির আবেদন গ্রহণ প্রক্রিয়া পরিচালিত হবে বলে উপাচার্য জানান। এ সংক্রান্ত বিস্তারিত তথ্য চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃপক্ষ বিজ্ঞপ্তির মাধ্যমে অবগত করবে।

ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের তরুণ শিক্ষকদের গবেষণায় দক্ষতা বাড়াতে সামাজিক বিজ্ঞান অনুষদে আরো বেশি ওয়ার্কশপ ও সেমিনার আয়োজনের কথা জানিয়েছেন সামাজিক বিজ্ঞান অনুষদেরভারপ্রাপ্ত ডীন অধ্যাপক ড. এজে এম শফিউল আলম ভূইয়া ।
সোমবার সকালে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সামাজিক বিজ্ঞান ভবনের মোজাফফর আহমেদ চৌধুরী মিলনায়তনেদিনব্যাপী গবেষণা বিষয়ক ওয়ার্কশপের উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে তিনি এই কথা বলেন । তিনি আরো বলেন, তরুণ শিক্ষকদের এখনই সময় গবেষণা বিষয়ে আগ্রহী তৈরি করা ও দ্রুত উচ্চশিক্ষা গ্রহণে উদ্যোগ নেওয়া । ড. এজে এম শফিউল আল ভূইয়া আরো জানান, ডীনের দায়িত্ব নেওয়ার পর তার গুরুত্বপূর্ণ একটি অগ্রাধিকার ছিল তরুণ শিক্ষকদের জন্য গবেষণা বিষয়ে ওয়ার্কশপ আয়োজনের। সামাজিক বিজ্ঞান অনুষদের বিভিন্ন বিভাগের অর্ধশত শিক্ষক এই ওয়ার্কশপে অংশগ্রহণ করেন । ওয়ার্কশপটির বিভিন্ন সেশন পরিচালনা করেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের জ্যেষ্ঠ শিক্ষকেরা ।

নতুন প্রজন্মের খোঁজে: ভয়েস অফ বিজনেস

ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ব্যবসায় শিক্ষা অনুষদের একটি অন্যতম ক্লাব “ভয়েস অফ বিজনেস”
ক্লাবটির মূল লক্ষ শিক্ষার্থীদের এবং ব্যবসায় জগতের মধ্যে সেতু বন্ধন তৈরী করা। ছাত্রা স্থায় শিক্ষার্থীদের ব্যবসায়, ব্যবসায় সম্পর্কিত পেশা, পেশা জীবনের জন্য প্রস্তুতি গ্রহন এবং তৈরী হতে ক্লাবটি সহায়তা করে। ক্লাবটি ইতিমধ্যে বিভিন্ন সেমিনার, ওয়ার্কশপ, প্রতিযোগিতা ও অন্যান্য অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্য দিয়ে শিক্ষার্থীদের মাঝে তুমুল জনপ্রিয়তা পেয়েছে। “ভয়েস অফ বিজনেস” দেশের একমাত্র ক্লাবযেটি শিক্ষার্থীদের পরিচালনায় প্রতি বছর ব্যবসায় এবং এর অন্যান্য বিষয় নিয়ে ম্যাগাজিন প্রকাশ করে থাকে।প্রতি বছর ব্যবসায় শিক্ষা অনুষদে "VoB Week" বা ভয়েস অফ বিজনেস সপ্তাহ আয়োজন করার মাধ্যমে ম্যাগাজিনটি প্রকাশ করা হয়।এ সময় শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য সপ্তাহব্যাপী কর্মশালা, আলোচনা সভা, প্রতিযোগিতা ও বিভিন্ন প্রতিষ্ঠানের কার্যাবলি সম্পর্কে কাছ থেকে জানার সুযোগ করে দেওয়া হয়।
নিজেদের কার্য ক্রমের পরিসর আরো একধাপ বৃদ্ধি করতে এবং শিক্ষার্থীদের আরো অভিজ্ঞ করে গড়ে তোলার উদ্দেশ্যে ক্লাবটি এ বছর একটি ব্র্যান্ডিং প্রতিযোগিতার আয়োজন করে। “ব্র্যান্ড্রিল” নামে এ প্রতিযোগিতা সারাদেশে বিভিন্ন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীদের আগ্রহী করে তোলে এবং একমাস ব্যাপী এ প্রতিযোগিতার মধ্য দিয়ে দেশ সেরা শিক্ষার্থীদের পুরষ্কৃত করা হয়।
২০০৭ সালে যাত্রা শুরু করা ভয়েস অফ বিজনেস এ বছর দশম বছরে পদার্পণ করেছে। এ উপলক্ষে ক্লাবটি এ বছরের VoB Week চলাকালীন সময়ে বিভিন্ন কর্মসূচীর আয়োজন করছে।দশ বছর ধরে তাদের চলার পেছনে অনুপ্রেরনা হিসেবে কাজ করা শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্যই তাদের এ আয়োজন। ক্লাবটিকে প্রতি নিয়ত তাদের কার্যক্রম বৃদ্ধির ও উন্নত করার পথে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাচ্ছে। বর্তমানে প্রায় আশি জন সদস্যের ভয়েস অফ বিজনেস সম্প্রতি তাদের ক্লাবের যোগদানের জন্য নতুন সদস্যদের আহবান জানিয়েছে। চলতি মাসের এক তারিখ থেকে তারা নতুন এক্সিকিউটিভ নিয়োগ দেওয়ার জন্য কাজ শুরু করেছে। ব্যবসায় শিক্ষা অনুষদের প্রথম ও দ্বিতীয় বর্ষের শিক্ষার্থীরা ক্লাবটির সদস্য হওয়ার জন্য আবেদন করতে পারবে। আবেদন করার শেষ তারিখ আগামী ১০ই অগাস্ট।

VoB Executive Recruitment 2017: In Search of the New Descendants

Voice of business, the biggest and glorious family of FBS is now planning to welcome new members to the family. It’s a platform where people from diverse background come together on a journey towards excellence. They share laughter, tears, and dreams and work together as well.Being a part of the VoB family offers one to get skilled in different fields, instilled leadership, and creates networking and many more uncountable opportunities and so on.
The recruitment process is designed into three different phases. This time it’s going to be bigger than ever. In the 1st round which is online based, the applicants need to tell about themselves. It can be anything that is relevant to know the applicants. They can do this by designing an infographic, can even make a video or just simply prepare a text that describes who they are.
Now that the hard part is done! They just need to share their post on VoBpage and wait for the results of the 1st round. Deadline for the first round is 10thAugust 2017. In the second round, there would be written exam following a viva in the third and the final round. This sums up the recruitment process.

গতকাল ১৮ জুন ২০১৭ রবিবার বিকেলে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ইসলামের ইতিহাস ও সংস্কৃতি বিভাগের কলা ভবনস্থ ৩০৫৬ নং শ্রেণিকক্ষ এবং মমতাজুর রহমান স্মৃতি জাদুঘর সংস্কার ও আধুনিকায়ন শেষে উদ্বোধন করেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক ড. আ আ ম স আরেফিন সিদ্দিক। এসময় কলা অনুষদের ডিন অধ্যাপক ড. আবু মো. দেলোয়ার হোসেনসহ বিভাগের শিক্ষকবৃন্দ উপস্থিত ছিলেন। বিভাগেরই প্রাক্তন ছাত্র প্রতীক গ্রুপের চেয়ারম্যান জনাব এস এম ফারুকী হাসান-এর অর্থায়নে এই সংস্কার ও আধুনিকায়নের কাজ সম্পন্ন করা হয়েছে।
