The World Cup quarter-finals are set 🍿

⛰️ Two Bangladeshi mountaineers, Salehin Arshady and Imran Khan Ozil, have set a new domestic record by climbing four Himalayan peaks in ten days.

👉 Under the title ‘GoZayaan Expedition Ladakh,’ the alpinist duo scaled four high altitude peaks in ten days: Kang Yatse II (6254m), Dzo Zongo East (6214m), Regioni Mallai Ri- I (6120m), and Conga Ri (5755m).

🗓️ On September 8, the mountaineers began their expedition in Ladakh, India's northernmost region, also known as Little Tibet. The team began the trek after obtaining the necessary permits and logistics, and two days later they arrived at their first base camp for Kang Yatse II.

🧗 The climb began at midnight on September 12 and ended at 12:08pm on top of Kang Yatse II, which stands 6254m above sea level. The team then set up camp for Regioni Mallai Ri. They set out for the summit at midnight on September 15th. They reached the 6120m peak after a twelve-hour exhilarating climb. The team climbed Conga Ri on September 19 and Dzo Zongo East (6214m) on September 20 at 5:43 p.m.

📰 This is the first ascent series in Bangladeshi mountaineering history. This successful project established a high standard for future expeditions.

Mohammad Samsuzzaman Arafat is the first Bangladeshi to complete the challenge in the Ironman's highest event- World Championship. 3,800 participants took part in this year's Ironman World Championship. 2685 people have succeeded. Among them, Arafat ranks 490th in terms of time.

The challenge consisted of 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling on mountain roads and 42.2 km running.
