Freshers Football Tournament 2026 – Highlights

The Freshers Football Tournament 2026, organized by RUET FC, concluded on a high note with an award ceremony following a thrilling final at the Central Field of Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) on Monday (13 July). Alongside crowning the Department of Mechanical Engineering as tournament champions, the organizers recognized the outstanding performances of several players whose contributions defined this year's competition.

The Man of the Final award was presented to Mahinuzzaman Sudin of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (2024–25 session) for his exceptional performance in the championship match, where the Department of Mechanical Engineering emerged victorious in a dramatic penalty shootout.

For his commanding performances at the heart of the defense throughout the tournament, Mostafa Morshed Sarker Rumi of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (2024–25 session) was named Best Defender of the Tournament. The Golden Boot, awarded to the tournament's highest goal scorer, went to Sakib Al Hasan of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (2024–25 session), while Mashruk Hasnain of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (2024–25 session) received the Golden Gloves award for his outstanding goalkeeping performances.

Despite the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering finishing as runners-up, Fahad Ibna Yousuf of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (2024–25 session) was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) / Man of the Tournament in recognition of his exceptional consistency, leadership, and overall impact throughout the competition.

The tournament concluded with the presentation of trophies and individual awards amid enthusiastic celebrations from players, teammates, and spectators. The organizers expressed their hope that the competition would continue to serve as a platform for discovering promising football talent while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among RUET students.

মানবতার ডাকে চট্টগ্রাম ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং স্টুডেন্টস অ্যাসোসিয়েশন (CESA), রুয়েট-এর উদ্যোগে চট্টগ্রামের অসহায় মানুষের পাশে—“একত্রিত রুয়েট”
বন্যার ভয়াবহতায় আজ চট্টগ্রামের অসংখ্য পরিবার হারিয়েছে তাদের ঘরবাড়ি, জীবিকার অবলম্বন ও স্বাভাবিক জীবনের নিশ্চয়তা। খাদ্য, বিশুদ্ধ পানি, ওষুধ ও নিরাপদ আশ্রয়ের তীব্র সংকটে দিন কাটছে তাদের। এই দুর্দিনে মানবতার আহ্বানে সাড়া দিয়ে আমরা রুয়েট পরিবার একত্রিত হয়েছি তাদের পাশে দাঁড়াতে। আপনার প্রতিটি সহযোগিতা একটি ক্ষুধার্ত পরিবারের আহার, একটি অসুস্থ মানুষের চিকিৎসা এবং একটি শিশুর মুখে ফিরে আসা হাসির কারণ হতে পারে। আসুন, কাঁধে কাঁধ মিলিয়ে প্রমাণ করি—দুর্যোগের সময় আমাদের ঐক্য, সহমর্মিতা ও ভালোবাসাই সবচেয়ে বড় শক্তি। আজই হাত বাড়িয়ে দিন; একসাথে আমরা শুধু সাহায্যই করি না, গড়ে তুলি আশা, সাহস ও মানবতার এক উজ্জ্বল দৃষ্টান্ত।
