A weekend immersed in Tui Shou with Ian Sinclair. No shortcuts, no tricks, just honest practice, skilled hands, and timeless principles passed from one practitioner to another.

Hours of listening, yielding, rooting, neutralizing, and learning that the smallest details often make the biggest difference.

Good training. Good people. Good food. The way it has always been.

Grateful to everyone who shared the “mat”, the conversations, and the spirit of learning. And thank you, Ian, for your generosity in sharing your experience.

The path isn’t measured by how much you know, but by how willing you are to return to practice.

Today, I remember my teacher.

The man who guided me through my teenage years, who saw something in me before I could fully see it in myself. His lessons reached far beyond technique, training, or discipline. They shaped the way I move through life, the way I teach, the way I lead, and the way I show up for others.

It has been years since he left this world, yet his influence remains present in so many moments of my life.

Today, I found myself wishing he were still here. Not because I need his guidance, but because I would love for him to see what grew from the seeds he planted.

I wish he could walk into my academy and see the students learning, struggling, growing, and finding confidence in themselves.

I wish he could meet my children, see the family I’ve built, and witness the life that unfolded from those formative years under his guidance.

There are people who pass through our lives, and there are people who become part of our foundation. He was one of those rare souls.

Some of the lessons he taught me live on in every class I teach, every student I encourage, every challenge I face, and every step I take.

Today, I honor his memory with gratitude.

Thank you for your time, your guidance, your patience, your belief, and your wisdom.

You are gone, but your impact remains. Forever.

On World Tai Chi Day, our Wu Dao Academy showed what consistent practice builds. Not just form, but structure, focus, and presence. Step by step, you can see the difference, in how we move, how we stand, and how we support each other.

I’m proud of the discipline and mindset each of you brings. This is the result of showing up, doing the work, and growing together.

This wasn’t just a demonstration.
It was proof of progress.
