One year later, we stood here again @ the WTQD — stronger, sharper, and with a bigger family 😉

On World Tai Chi Day, our Wu Dao Academy showed what consistent practice builds. Not just form, but structure, focus, and presence. Step by step, you can see the difference, in how we move, how we stand, and how we support each other.

I’m proud of the discipline and mindset each of you brings. This is the result of showing up, doing the work, and growing together.

This wasn’t just a demonstration.
It was proof of progress.

Love you guys,

Coach E.

This practice refines how you connect center to expression.

Everything begins in the lower field, a quiet initiation from within, before anything is shown outward.

From there, the structure unfolds.
The upper body widens naturally, creating space for breath and internal movement to travel without obstruction.

The foundation remains steady.
Through the legs, through the ground,
there is containment, so expansion does not become dispersion.

When this coordination is present, the internal systems begin to harmonize: circulation improves, the nervous system settles, and the emotional field becomes more stable.

This is not about reaching.
It is about allowing something to move through you
with clarity and control.

Train it slowly.
Refine the pathway.
Let the body organize itself around the principle.

Ian Sinclair is coming back to the Academy!

With more than 40 years experience with several different styles of tai chi, as well as qigong, meditation, and other martial arts, lan Sinclair has worked hard to distill the essence of tai chi, and translate the traditional language into modern scientific terminology that better suits today’s students.

Join this seminar to have a different approach on your practice.

There are only a few spots left.

See the link in bio, and register to join!

Hope to see you then!

Fājìn is not trained by moving fast.
It is trained by moving well…
We cultivate stillness to develop awareness,
structure to connect the whole body, and breath to unify movement and intent.
When these are in place, speed is no longer forced and the power expresses itself clearly, efficiently, and without tension.

In just 6 weeks, we step onto ancient ground. Taipei is waiting for us y’all.

Not as tourists, but as practitioners.
As students walking the path where movement, stillness, culture and spirit meet.

We will train where tradition is lived, breathe where generations before us cultivated strength and softness,
and allow the city, the temples, the mountains and our teacher to shape us — body, mind and heart.

This journey is not about going far.
It’s about going deep.

Grateful to share this path with a small group of dedicated students, ready to listen, to train, and to be transformed.

Wu Dao continues — and the road leads East.

This is Zhan Zhuang, often called Holding the Tree, or I like to call it, Hugging a Tree.

It may look still, but the work is internal and active.
Through standing, we train alignment, rooting, breath and intention.

The body learns to release unnecessary tension while maintaining structure.

This is where awareness sharpens and internal connection is built…

Before movement, there is structure.
Before technique, there is understanding.

A little throwback to some fun training with Grand Master Sam Chin @ the Grand Market Square in Antwerp.

A teacher with real mastery.
A presence you can look up to.

Grateful for the time we shared.

Feeling deeply grateful for this past weekend. 🌿

The opportunity to host Grand Master Sam Chin at our academy is something we’ll treasure for a long time.

We came together as an amazing group from all over the world — open, curious & eager to learn. We shared insights, exchanged energy, and received wisdom from a great man whose presence and teaching touched us all.

It went beyond a seminar… becoming a space of connection, growth, and genuine inspiration.

A moment in time that will guide us long into the future. 🪷🌿

Throwback to an amazing weekend with Ian Sinclair at the Academy!
Two full days of training, learning, and sharing — with an intensive program, delicious food, and lots of laughter in between.
The students left not only with new techniques, but with deeper insight, renewed energy, and memories to carry into their own practice.
Grateful for the knowledge shared, the community we’re building, and the spirit of Tai Chi that keeps us growing — together.

See you at the next workshop?
