Finally back at it! After a long winter break, weekend vibes done right. Spent the day testing the new Illex The Artist Dark Lightning and it didn’t disappoint. The sensitivity of this rod combined with a 3.8-inch Yammy Fish on a Ned rig is a deadly combo for these winter perch. This specimen made the wait totally worth it! 🌬️

Sometimes you have to adapt. Too windy for the boat, but the Zander are still hungry! 🌥️ I worked the DD Squirrel 67 SP along the drop-offs. The wobbnroll action is perfect for triggering bites, dives to 2 meters and just hangs there on the pause... irresistible! Stoked with this shore catch! 🧣🎣

Fishing in the fog is great; you can't see your friends, so you can pretend you're catching way more fish than them! 🌫️😜 The perch clearly didn't need eyes to find the rattling TN 60. When they got shy, the wiggly Scissor Comb 3.8” convinced them it was snack time.
