Yogi of the Month: Nadine Vermeersch āØ
Some yogis show up with grace even on the days they aren't feeling it. They may feel like they aren't 'pulling their weight,' but the truth is that pushing through those heavy days requires even more strength and dedication. Nadine embodies this spirit perfectly, let's read what she has to say:
1. Whatās your go-to strategy to stay inside when the heat gets tough?
I usually stay close to the door for a mental sense of safety; knowing I could step out if I needed to helps me stay in the room. I remind myself: āyouāve done this before.ā That trust in my own experience helps me push through and stay present.
2. If you could give one tip to a new student nervous about trying it out, what would it be?
Drop the idea that you have to ādo it well.ā Just show up and let the class happen to you. The more you try to control everything, the harder it feelsāstaying open makes a difference. I actually wanted to quit after my first class, but Iām really glad I came back.
3. How has this practice changed your energy or confidence lately?
Itās become an anchorāa place where I can check in with myself, both mentally and physically. Lately, I donāt fight my energy as much as I used to. Iām more accepting of how I feel in the moment, which has helped me feel more grounded.
4. Whatās one small thing you love most about our space?
The first feeling when I walk into the room and feel the warmthālike, āyes, letās do this,ā as Bo says. I also really appreciate the respect between everyone; we are all allowed to be in our own experience without judgment.
5. On your hardest days, what helps you keep showing up?
On my hardest days, I actually tend to want to go to class the most. Even when I have low energy and wonder if itās going to work that day, once I arrive, it always feels worth it.
š¬ļø Bonus: What is your favorite posture & why?
The moment right after the first breathing exercise and the first posture. It feels like my body is slowly waking up from the insideāas if space is being created again, bringing me back into my body.
Show Nadine some love with a ā¤ļø and tell us what the practice means to you in the comments!

Meet our Yogi of the Month, Anke! āØ
She shows up consistently and puts in the real work. Weāve watched how fast stress shoulders can melt straight into one of the most beautiful backbends. Her words are a reminder that progress isnāt about perfectionāitās about presence. Thank you for sharing your practice with us, Anke! š
š Read what she shared below:
1. What's your go-to strategy to stay inside when the heat gets tough?
Simple answer: donāt focus on the heat. Try to shift your focus. Am I doing the pose correctly? What is the teacher saying? Focus on what you need to do, not on what you feel. The more often you take the classes, the easier it becomes. āŗļø
2. If you could give one tip to a new student nervous about trying it out, what would it be?
Itās not necessary! Everyone is so focused on themselves (trying not to fall) that they donāt notice how well or not so well youāre doing. Just join in and have fun!
3. How has this practice changed your energy or confidence lately?
Every class I attend, I notice progress, itās in the smallest things. And itās really nice when the teacher notices and points it out too.
4. What's one small thing you love most about our space?
The friendliness, always feeling welcome, and the positivity thatās always there!
5. On your hardest days, what helps you keep showing up?
For me, it helps to schedule fixed days. Youāll always find me there on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, other days are a bonus.
6. Bonus: what is your favorite posture & why?
The bow pulling pose has been my favorite since my very first classes! In this pose, itās so important to listen carefully to what you need to do and when, and what effect it has. Itās very challenging, but gives a lot of satisfaction when you fully achieve it āŗļø
