Participants are invited to dive into an extensive–intensive process that develops both technical precision and improvisational-compositional awareness. »
David Zambrano is one of the most influential figures in contemporary dance of the last 40 years. Born in Venezuela, he spent 15 years in New York before settling between Amsterdam and Brussels, where in 2018 he co-founded Tictac Art Centre. He has taught his approach to dance in more than 75 countries, performed at hundreds of venues worldwide, and his Flying Low and Passing Through techniques have shaped generations of dancers globally. This intensive — taught by David himself — is a singular experience.

« I am interested in our ability to use TIME as we move create and communicate on stage. The placement of our actions in time and the sensing of the rhythms which occur in context of performance. How the performer listens to the element of time and how she/he uses it to direct work in front of a public is both a compositional and a performing concern. »
Julyen Hamilton is an English dancer, choreographer, poet and musician with 45 years of performing and creating across the world. He has made over 100 improvised solos and collaborated with leading European musicians including Fred Frith, Barre Phillips and Tristan Honsinger. His company ALLEN’S LINE has performed throughout Europe and beyond, and his unique fusion of dance and text has been presented in South America and South Korea. As a pianist he performs regularly in Berlin and Brussels, with recordings including POINTER, Jack Gets Out of Prison and The Road to Amarillo.
