BiASC has published an overview of the Belgian Networking Academy ecosystem based on participation figures collected during the final month of the 2025–2026 academic year.

The report shows that the community currently consists of:

🔹 62 member academies 🔹 8,800 student participants 🔹 Strong representation in both the Dutch-speaking and French-speaking communities 🔹 A diverse network of higher education institutions, professional training providers, secondary schools and cross-sector organizations.

What does the Networking Academy community in Belgium look like in 2026?

Today, nearly three quarters of all student participation originates from higher education. At the same time, the introduction of new foundational and intermediate-level curricula is creating new opportunities for growth in professional training and secondary education.

The figures in the document illustrate the scale and diversity of the Belgian Networking Academy community and highlight its potential for educational innovation, digital-skills development and future Erasmus+ cooperation projects.

Met tachtig deelnemers bruist het Ensorinstituut vandaag van ideeën, innovatie en kennisdeling. Docenten, trainers en IT-professionals komen samen om inspiratie op te doen voor het technologieonderwijs van morgen.

Sterk IT- en technologieonderwijs ontstaat waar innovatieve didactiek en de technologiesector elkaar ontmoeten. Die voortdurende wisselwerking is essentieel om leerlingen en studenten voor te bereiden op een arbeidsmarkt die sneller verandert dan ooit.

Wij zijn verheugd dat een grote groep IT-docenten zich heeft ingeschreven voor de NetAcad Experience Day, georganiseerd voor BiASC-leden en Cisco Networking Academy.

Het evenement wil de uitwisseling stimuleren van ervaringen, ideeën en praktische lesaanpakken tussen docenten actief in IT, netwerken, IoT, cybersecurity en aanverwante domeinen op een niveau vergelijkbaar met CCST-certificering.

Wij benadrukken dat de sessies vooral aandacht hebben voor probleemgericht onderwijs en praktijkgerichte leerbenaderingen.

De meeste sessies zullen in het Nederlands doorgaan.

Naast de technische sessies biedt het evenement ook mogelijkheden voor instellingen om op een informele maar professionele manier productieve vormen van samenwerking te ontdekken.

Wij kijken uit naar een inspirerende dag vol netwerking, kennisdeling en communityvorming.

The NetAcad IT course curriculum places a strong emphasis on practical learning. The aim of most Networking Academy courses is to develop a solid “need-to-know” understanding in students through hands-on experience. A strong focus is placed on how to perform tasks in practice.

On the following webpage, we have selected a range of practical labs and experiments from different online IT courses up to the intermediate level. The labs are relevant for students in secondary education, as well as for learners in adult education and first-year higher education.

Na de NetAcad Day in Namen (Henallux) kondigen we met plezier een nieuw event aan voor IT-instructeurs in Oostende — met een totaal andere aanpak.

Op 29 mei organiseert BiASC een **CCST NetAcad Day** in Oostende, speciaal voor leerkrachten en docenten uit het secundair onderwijs, volwassenenonderwijs en hoger onderwijs (eerstejaarsstudenten) met interesse in IT-infrastructuur, netwerken en cybersecurity (basis tot intermediair niveau).

Geen theoretische uitleg, maar concrete toepassingen:

hoe werkt het écht in de praktijk?

Met voorbeelden van skills die je niet gemakkelijk zelfstandig kan aanleren.

Waar in Namen de sessies in het Frans en Engels werden gegeven, zullen de sessies in Oostende doorgaan in het Engels en Nederlands.

Le 29 mai, BiASC organise une **CCST NetAcad Day** à Ostende, spécialement pour les enseignants et formateurs du secondaire, de l’enseignement pour adultes et de l’enseignement supérieur (étudiants de première année), intéressés par les infrastructures IT, les réseaux et la cybersécurité (niveau débutant à intermédiaire).
