👏A special mention to Victor, Patrik and Gellert who left the BBRFC Celtic team in the Provins tournament, France on the Sunday to also play for the 🇧🇪U14 Belgian national selection team this weekend against Ealing Trailfinders. 👏

BBRFC Celtic U14 and U16 in 🇫🇷Provins, France for the 2-3 May 2026 rugby tournament with teams from England, France, Scotland, Ireland, Czech Republic, Germany and the Netherlands. 🏃🏻BBRFC Celtic U16 also volunteered 6 players for the mixed nation ⚜️‘Presidents team.’ Some great rugby played by all and U14 reached the semi-final! All in all a great weekend had by everyone in the champagne region! 🥂🍾

BBRFC Celtic New Year’s party 2026! Ixelles

✨Having met as babies and played as infants 🤼♀️due to their respective fathers having played together in the early days of BBRFC Celtic, Katie-Jane Wickham and Eowyn Edwards quickly grew to became two stalwarts of Coach Ross Melzer’s and Coach Ray Malanaphy’s all-conquering U10s through to U14s squad before they then moved onto the Senior Women’s Squad. 🏃♀️ Meanwhile, they both also went on to represent Belgium 🇧🇪in the European U18 7s Championship, though in different years on either side of Covid as Katie Jane is slightly older. From Belgium both went to pursue their degrees in 🇮🇪 Dublin with Katie-Jane at Trinity and Eowyn at University College Dublin and, of course, both played rugby with their University teams but Eowyn also joined 🏃🏼♀️Old Belvedere to play in the AIL Energia League whereas Katie-Jane continued on from her regular refereeing in Belgium to become an active referee in Ireland. 🙋🏻♀️ And this is where, this past Saturday, their paths crossed again. ✨Katie-Jane was on whistling duties and in charge of the match as Eowyn started at scrum-half for Old Belvedere. 🏉 It was a win for “Belvo” Women just as it was a win for two notable BC graduates as they continue on their already storied rugby journeys. BC, more than just a rugby club! 🙌
