A C-section is not the “easy way out.”

And we really need to stop talking about it like it is.

Yes, you may not have pushed your baby through a vaginal birth.

But you gave birth.

And then, while your body was recovering from abdominal surgery, motherhood started immediately.

There was no recovery holiday.

You still had to get out of bed.

Feed your baby.

Carry them.

Change them.

Function on very little sleep.

And adapt to a completely new life while your body was healing.

That's also why returning to exercise after a C-section deserves more than: “Six weeks have passed. You're good to go.”

Your body needs time, progression and training adapted to YOUR recovery.

Reconnecting with your core.

Learning to manage pressure.

Rebuilding strength.

And gradually preparing your body for everything motherhood demands from it every single day.

A C-section doesn't make you weaker.

But it does make your recovery different.

And different recoveries deserve different approaches to training.

💛 If you've had a C-section and want support returning to movement safely and progressively, send us POSTPARTUM.

What if I don't fit in?

What if everyone is fitter than me?

What if I can't keep up?

What if I pay and then realise it's not for me?

Some of the women who are now part of SuperMums had exactly those doubts before their first class.

And then they came.

They met other pregnant women and mums going through the same things.

They discovered that nobody expected them to be the fittest person in the room.

They found professionals who understood how their bodies had changed.

And somewhere between the workouts, the WhatsApp messages, the meet-ups and the conversations after class, they found their people.

Some came to stay active during pregnancy.

Some came to recover after birth.

Some simply wanted one hour to do something for themselves.

But what they found went far beyond exercise.

Support. Confidence. Friendship. A place where they didn't have to explain what motherhood feels like.

So if you've been watching SuperMums from the outside wondering, "Is this really for me?"…

Maybe it's time to come and find out. 💛

Six weeks postpartum doesn't mean six weeks of doing nothing.

But it also doesn't mean that on day 42 your body suddenly says: "Great. Back to normal training."

Your body doesn't work according to a calendar.

During those first weeks, recovery is already happening.

Walking.
Breathing.
Gentle movement.
Reconnecting with your core and pelvic floor.
Learning to recognise what feels good and what doesn't.

What you DON'T need?

❌ Rushing back into your old workouts.
❌ Doing crunches because you want your belly back.
❌ Ignoring pain, pressure, leaking or increased bleeding.
❌ Comparing your recovery with another mum's.
❌ Treating your 6-week check-up like a starting gun.

A vaginal birth isn't the same as a C-section.

A straightforward delivery isn't the same as a complicated one.

And feeling "fine" doesn't necessarily mean your body is ready for everything you used to do.

Postpartum exercise should be progressive, individual and adapted to the body you have TODAY.

You don't need to rush your recovery.

You need to build it.

💛 Want support returning to exercise after birth? Send us POSTPARTUM and we'll help you find the right SuperMums programme for you.

You laugh. You leak a little.

You sneeze. Same thing.

Your lower back always hurts.

You feel like you need to pee… even though you just went.

You're constantly dealing with constipation or haemorrhoids.

And your belly still doesn't feel or look like it used to.

So you tell yourself: “I had a baby. I guess this is normal now.”

But here's something more women need to hear:

Common after pregnancy doesn't mean you simply have to accept it.

These symptoms can have different causes, but they can also be signs that your pelvic floor and the rest of your core system need attention.

And no, the answer isn't automatically: "do more Kegels.”

Your pelvic floor doesn't work in isolation.

It works together with your breathing, abdominal wall, hips, back and the way your body manages pressure every single day.

That's why the first step isn't doing random exercises.

It's understanding what YOUR body needs.

Motherhood changes your body.

It shouldn't mean spending the rest of your life afraid to sneeze with a full bladder.

💛 Experiencing any of these symptoms? Send us PELVIC FLOOR and let's talk about the right support for you.

You can do every exercise your coach gives you and still be making your diastasis recovery harder without realising it.

Because recovery doesn't only happen during your workout.

Think about everything your core has to manage during the rest of your day:

Picking your baby up from the floor.

Carrying them on one hip.

Lifting the stroller into the car.

Getting out of bed.

Carrying shopping bags.

Coughing or sneezing.

Even holding your breath when something feels heavy.

None of these things are "exercises".

But your core doesn't know the difference.

It has to manage pressure every single time.

That's why diastasis recovery isn't about being perfect for 60 minutes in class and forgetting about your body for the other 23 hours.

It's about learning how to move, breathe and manage pressure in the life you actually live.

And no, that doesn't mean being scared of movement or obsessing over every time you pick up your baby.

Quite the opposite.

We want your body to become strong enough for real life.

Because your baby isn't getting any lighter. 😉

💛 Want to learn how to support your recovery beyond your workouts? Send us DIASTASIS and we'll tell you about our programme.

Motherhood is one of the most physically demanding jobs you'll ever do.

The difference?

Nobody calls it a workout.

You carry your child.

You squat to pick up toys.

You push the buggy.

You lift the car seat.

You spend hours feeding, rocking, bending and reaching.

Over and over again.

That's why strength training during pregnancy and postpartum isn't about chasing a certain body.

It's about building a body that supports the life you live every single day.

A stronger body means:

✨ Carrying your child with more confidence.

✨ Feeling less discomfort in your back, shoulders and hips.

✨ Having more energy for the moments that matter.

✨ Feeling capable—not just during your workout, but long after it ends.

Because the goal isn't to make motherhood harder.

It's to make you stronger for it.

Pregnancy doesn’t make you weak. But your body is changing and your training should change with it.

Adapted doesn’t mean easy. It means training smarter, respecting your body and continuing to build strength throughout pregnancy.

At SuperMums, we train with your changing body, not against it.

💛 Send PREGNANT and come train with us.

No taboos are allowed in SuperMums. It's the only way to rehab your pelvic floor, normalizing touching and looking at it.
The pelvic floor workshop is on October 11th, online. Nobody explained to you like I do 😉
Comwnr "pelvic floor" and I will contact you personally to see if it's for you.
