It is with deep sadness to share that Marsblade’s founder and our dear, Per Mårs, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, March 13. After struggling with mental health challenges, he died by su***de.

Per was an incredibly caring and respected person, leader, a friend to so many, and a passionate innovator. He believed strongly in supporting and inspiring others, whether by being there for those closest to him or through his passion for hockey. He never stopped striving to move the sport forward while also showing up for the people he loved.

Through Marsblade, Per changed how players develop their skating. His vision and passion built something that will have a lasting impact on the sport.

We will honor Per by continuing the work he believed in. 

We kindly ask the hockey community to keep Per’s family, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts, and to respect their privacy during this difficult time.

We also want to acknowledge the importance of mental health. If you or someone close to you is struggling, please reach out to someone you trust or seek professional support. You are not alone.
