🏏 MATCH DAY | OSTEND EXILES CC 🏏

🌧️ Rainy conditions, tough game — but another great win for Ostend Exiles CC! 💪🔥

Ostend Exiles CC won the toss and decided to field first. Royal Brussels CC posted a total of 170 runs.

🎯 Brilliant bowling performance!
Hassan and Rashed our spinners did a fantastic job of keeping the Royal Brussels batsmen under pressure. 👏🔥

Chasing 171 looked like a manageable target, but it quickly became a difficult battle with the bat. We lost wickets early and found ourselves at 14/3, followed by 50/5.

💪 Soheel stepped up with a crucial 51 runs, helping to rebuild the innings and giving us hope of chasing down the total.

But the best was yet to come! 🔥

With Ostend Exiles at 120/8, Emal and Rashed produced a fantastic partnership under pressure. They stayed calm, rotated the strike and took us over the line on the 10th wicket! 🏆🙌

⭐ Emal – 33 not out*
⭐ Rashed – 14 not out*
⭐ Soheel – 51 runs

A brilliant team effort from Ostend Exiles CC — especially the fight and determination shown until the very last ball! 💙🏏

170 chased down! Another victory for the Exiles! 🔥💪

Not the result we were hoping for today for Ostend Exiles A.

We batted first but couldn't get going in the conditions, managing 223 all out in 42 overs. It wasn't the total we were aiming for.

Defending that score, we weren't at our best with the ball, and our fielding was below our usual standards. We gave away a few chances, and their batsmen made us pay.

Credit to Hasselt CC—they played really well and chased the target down comfortably.

Every game is a learning opportunity. We'll take the positives, work on the areas we need to improve, and come back stronger next week. 💪🏏

What a performance by Ostend Exiles Cricket Club! 💙🏏

After a difficult start to the season with three tough games, we have bounced back brilliantly! Following last week's victory, today we showed what this team is truly capable of by defeating 12 Stars CC in an outstanding run chase.

12 Stars CC batted very well and posted a challenging total of 270 runs. But today, Ostend Exiles came out with a completely different mindset. We chased down 271 runs in just 41 overs, losing only 4 wickets!

A fantastic team effort:

- Hasnain scored a brilliant 50.
- Manpreet made 27, and together they gave us a solid opening partnership of over 50 runs.
- In the middle overs, Younis continued his excellent form with another impressive 44. A talented young all-rounder who keeps performing week after week.
- Our skipper Sulaiman led from the front with a vital 41, sharing a match-changing partnership with Younis. At 189/4, the game was perfectly set up.

Then Asad (28 not out)* and Soheel (41 not out)* calmly finished the job, guiding Ostend Exiles to a memorable victory in the 41st over.

A complete team performance, great character, and another important win. Let's keep this momentum going!

Well played, Ostend Exiles! 💪🏏🔥

On Saturday against Brain CC, the team showed great character by defending a modest total of 120 runs and securing a brilliant 13-run victory. 💪 Exiles A Team finally got their first win of the season in the 1st Division after four matches, and what a game it was! Chasing 170 runs, the team held their nerve in a tense encounter to win by 2 wickets.

⭐ Manpreet Singh Sandu played a match-winning knock, scoring his first half-century of the season. ⭐ Hassan Diwan Ali led the bowling attack with an outstanding 4 wickets. ⭐ Waleed contributed brilliantly with 3 wickets and later helped finish the chase. ⭐ Youngster Younis delivered an excellent all-round performance when the team needed it most. ⭐ Shahed and Waleed stayed calm under pressure to guide the team over the line.

A tough start to the season for Ostend Exiles Cricket Club.

Three games played, three losses. The results don't lie—we have been lacking in both our batting and fielding performances, and it has cost us in key moments of every match.

Now is the time for every player to look at themselves, work harder at training, and focus on improving the basics. We know we are better than what we've shown so far.

Cricket is a long season, and there is still plenty to play for. We stick together as a team, learn from our mistakes, and come back stronger. The only way from here is up.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the Exiles. We will keep fighting and give everything to turn this season around.
