Sportoase Antwerp Phantoms IJshockeyclub, met als thuisbasis 'Sportoase Groot Schijn' op de Ruggeveldlaan 488 te Deurne. De ijshockeyploeg van 't Stad.

De 'coolste' sportclub van onze Koekestad dus. Opgericht in 1972. Erkend door Sporting A. IJshockey is voor de Phantoms meer dan sporten, het is een ‘way of life’ die ook naast de ijsbaan wordt toegepast. Onze sporters krijgen van jongs af aan een aantal waarden mee zoals teamspirit, gedrevenheid en fairplay die van onschatbare waarde zijn in het dagdagelijkse bestaan. Antwerp Phantoms kunnen reeds jaren bogen op:

+ Een sterk jeugdbeleid met gerichte trainingen
+ Een grote betrokkenheid van ouders, supporters en sponsors
+ Sfeer en ambiance tijdens matchen en events

Geschiedenis:

IJshockeyclub Antwerp Phantoms werd opgericht in de zomer van 1972, onder de naam DISC (Deurne Ice Skating Club) Phantoms. Ludo Peleman, vader van Antwerps muzikant Axl Peleman en militair piloot, tekende voor de naam Phantoms. Zijn ultieme droom was vliegen met een F4-Phantom-straaljager. De Antwerp Phantoms waren geboren. IJsbaan Ruggeveld:

Momenteel telt Phantoms meer dan 150 actieve leden tussen 4 en 99 jaar. Alle wedstrijden worden in het weekend beslecht, dit zowel in onze nieuwe thuishaven 'Sportoase Groot Schijn' op de Ruggeveldlaan te Deurne als op locatie.
