Този уикенд България записа исторически успех на Европейското първенство по функционален фитнес!

Нашият представител, Николай Василев (21 г.), спечели сребърен медал и завоюва 2-ро място в категория Senior Male. Това беше неговото първо участие при мъжете, а представянето му надмина всички очаквания.

Само преди няколко месеца - през декември 2025 г. - Николай дебютира на Световното първенство по функционален фитнес, където завърши на престижното 6-то място. Само на 21 години той направи впечатляващ дебют и в категория Senior Male. На първото си международно състезание при мъжете Николай не просто се нареди сред най-добрите - той се изправи срещу доказани Games атлети и европейския елит, демонстрира зрялост, хладнокръвие и безупречна стратегия във всяко едно изпитание и заслужено се качи на второто стъпало на почетната стълбичка.

Състезанието се проведе във формат HyperMedley - едно от най-тежките изпитания във функционалния фитнес. В рамките на само 2 часа състезателите трябваше да преминат през 6 различни теста, което изисква не само отлична физическа подготовка, но и перфектна стратегия, умение да разпределиш силите си и да познаваш тялото си до съвършенство.

По пътя към сребърния медал Николай се изправи срещу едни от най-добрите атлети в света - състезатели с участия на Games и спортисти, заслужили мястото си сред европейския елит. Въпреки изключително силната конкуренция той доказа, че принадлежи сред най-добрите.

С това впечатляващо представяне Николай си осигури директна квота за Световното първенство, което ще се проведе през декември в Глазгоу.

Това е едно от най-силните представяния на български състезател в историята на този спорт и повод за огромна гордост.
