Coach Marvin and Team Bahrain have arrived in Orlando, Florida, USA 🇺🇸

Bahrain participated in the 1st International Military Indoor Archery Tournament in Moscow, Russia, from March 17-23, 2025, led by Coach Marvin Cordero, a Filipino archery coach who has been instrumental in developing archery talent in the Philippines and Bahrain.

Archery is one of the official CISM (International Military Sports Council) World Level Sports, featured in the World Military Archery Championship (WMC Archery), where military athletes from various nations compete. As a precision-based sport, archery aligns with military training disciplines such as focus, patience, accuracy, and hand-eye coordination, and is incorporated into military traditions and specialized training. Competitions typically include individual and team events in different bow categories (recurve and compound). CISM archery continues to promote camaraderie and sportsmanship among military personnel, demonstrating skill and discipline in an international competitive setting.

Led by Coach Marvin Cordero, the Bahrain Defence Force Archery Team takes part in the 78th CISM General Assembly & Congress, held in Moscow, Russia, this month.

🎯🏹 The CISM (Conseil International du Sport Militaire), or International Military Sports Council, is a global organization that promotes friendship and solidarity through sports among armed forces worldwide. Established in 1948, CISM is the second-largest multi-sport discipline organization after the International Olympic Committee, with 140 member nations. It organizes military world championships, regional competitions, and the Military World Games, fostering physical fitness and camaraderie among military personnel.

Coach Marvin is taking a walk in Red Square (Красная площадь), one of the oldest and largest squares in Moscow, Russia. It is located in Moscow's historic center, along the eastern walls of the Kremlin.
