Aradhy Roy Crowned Juniors U16 Champion at the 32nd Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival 🏆

Arjun’s Chess Academy (ACA) is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Aradhy Roy, who emerged as the Champion of the Juniors Under-16 category at the 32nd Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival.

The prestigious tournament was organized by the Abu Dhabi Chess Club & Mind Games and held from August 15–20, 2026, at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Resort, Abu Dhabi Corniche, UAE.

The Juniors U16 tournament was played over 9 rounds with a standard time control of 45 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move.

Aradhy delivered an excellent performance throughout the tournament, scoring an impressive 8 points out of 9 rounds to secure 1st place and the championship title.

Along with the championship trophy, Aradhy was awarded a cash prize of USD 2,000 for his remarkable achievement.

His consistency, preparation, and fighting spirit helped him stay ahead in a strong international field and finish the tournament with an outstanding 8/9 score.

This achievement marks another proud international success for Arjun’s Chess Academy, reflecting Aradhy’s dedication, hard work, and continued progress in competitive chess.

Belgrade, Serbia – Arjun’s Chess Academy (ACA) is proud to celebrate another outstanding international achievement by Prithvi Raj Prajeesh at the Serbia Open 2026 Blitz Tournament.

Prithvi delivered an excellent performance against strong international titled players, showing his skill and determination on the global stage.

He defeated International Master (IM) Zoran Arsovic of Serbia and Women’s International Master (WIM) Olga Karmanova of Russia, both higher-rated titled players.

He also earned impressive draws against:

Arnav Singh Dewan Becomes the First ACA Student to Defeat a Grandmaster in an Over-the-Board Game♟️💫

Belgrade, Serbia — Arjun’s Chess Academy (ACA) proudly celebrates a historic milestone as Arnav Singh Dewan, a King Level student at ACA, becomes the first ACA student to defeat a Grandmaster in an over-the-board chess game.

Competing at the prestigious Serbia Open 2026 in Belgrade, Arnav achieved this remarkable feat in the Rapid section, defeating experienced Serbian Grandmaster Milovan Ratkovic, who entered the Rapid tournament with a FIDE rating of 2442.

This is a very special moment in the journey of Arjun’s Chess Academy.

Over the years, several ACA students have defeated Grandmasters in online chess, but Arnav’s victory marks the first time an ACA student has defeated a Grandmaster in an official face-to-face, over-the-board game.

Arnav’s achievement reflects the value of consistent training, competitive experience and international exposure. As a King Level student, he has progressed through ACA’s structured chess training system and is now testing his skills against strong international players on the global stage.

At Arjun’s Chess Academy, we believe chess development goes beyond regular classroom training. ACA continuously creates opportunities for students to participate in FIDE-rated tournaments, international competitions and overseas chess events, giving young players the experience and confidence to compete at higher levels.

The journey continues! Arjun’s Chess Academy is proud to be part of the Serbia Chess Open 2026 for the third consecutive year, providing our students with another incredible opportunity to compete on the international stage.

Representing ACA this year are Prithvi Raj Prajeesh, Arnav Singh Dewan, and Nimit Minu, accompanied by ACA Director & Coach, Mr. Arjun Kakkadath.

With nearly 600 players from across the world, including Grandmasters and titled players, the Serbia Chess Open is one of Europe’s biggest international chess festivals. Throughout the event, our players will compete in Classical, Rapid, and Blitz tournaments, gaining valuable experience against strong international opponents.

At ACA, we believe that international exposure is one of the best ways to accelerate a player’s growth. Every game is an opportunity to learn, improve, and build confidence.

Arjun’s Chess Academy Kicks Off Summer Chess Camp 2026 with Over 60 Young Participants ♟️

Bahrain: Arjun’s Chess Academy (ACA) has successfully launched its Summer Chess Camp 2026, which commenced on 5th July, attracting more than 60 students across multiple age groups and playing levels.

The camp is being conducted in three daily batches to accommodate students with different schedules:

* 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
* 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
* 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Students are divided into different groups based on their chess strength, ensuring that every participant receives training appropriate to their level. From beginners taking their first steps in chess to experienced tournament players, the camp provides a structured learning environment for all.

The academy offers One-Month Camps, Two-Week Camps, and Online Chess Camps, giving students flexible opportunities to continue their chess development during the summer holidays.

The comprehensive training program includes:

* Chess theory lessons
* Tactical and strategic puzzle solving
* Practice games
* Mini tournaments
* Game analysis and review sessions

To conclude each camp, ACA will organize a Grand Chess Tournament, allowing students to showcase the skills they have developed during their training.

Dhruvi Panigrahi Clinches 22nd ACA FIDE Rapid Chess Tournament Title 🏆

The 22nd ACA FIDE Rated Rapid Chess Tournament, organized by Arjun’s Chess Academy (ACA), concluded successfully on 25 June 2026 at Arjun’s Chess Academy, Bahrain. The tournament attracted 60 players, who battled across 7 Swiss-system rounds under the 10 minutes + 3 seconds increment time control, with results submitted for FIDE International Rapid Rating.

After an exciting day of competitive chess, Dhruvi Shrikant Panigrahi emerged as the Overall Champion with an impressive 6/7 score. With four players finishing on 6 points, tie-breaks determined the final standings.
