The World Rugby Classic

The dates are set for the 2026 World Rugby Classic. The 38th Annual Event will take place from November 7th - 13th....just under 38 weeks from TODAY!

Another off-field adventure to share! One of the things we love to see is the players offering their skills and time to coach our aspiring rugby players and athletes. On Saturday, some of the players along with Classic referee, Romain Carbonnel, hosted a coaching session with the Alliance Francaise before they flew home that evening! The kids had a blast learning from the guys! Grazie 👏 Merci !!

Wanted to share an awesome off the field adventure the 🇨🇦 had whilst on island last week!

Having connected with Colin Jones, an area resident and a member of the Hungry Bay Planning Committee, they offered their assistance in protecting the endangered mangroves in Hungry Bay which have been impacted by the destructive forces of the tide and waves over the years. They volunteered to assist by building a natural rock wall to protect the mangroves, which are vital to local sea life; offering shelter and protection to all forms of new species at birth.

Between repositioning the rocks, utilizing relay lines, and trying to out lift each other 💪, they were also fortunate to learn more about the Bermuda environment (specifically the various flora & fauna on display in the bay) thanks to Colin’s expertise.

This will require an ongoing effort, so the Canadian Classics are excited to continue lending their helping hands during subsequent future visits as well.

Massive shout out guys for giving back to 🇧🇲 in this way! 👏

The Argentinians scored one try, a conversion and two penalties to finish unbeaten with 12 points in the six-team tournament. South Africa, who finished with 14 players on the park after Belgium Tuatagaloa was sent off for punching an opponent, managed only a converted try."

📰Royal Gazette, November 6th 2025 - "Champions South Africa fought from a try down to overcome the Classic Lions and rack up their second bonus-point victory at the World Rugby Classic.

Five tries and three conversions gave the South Africans full points from the match and moved them to the top of the standings with ten points. The Lions, who suffered a second loss of the tournament, crossed the try line twice."

"Earlier in the night, the United States defeated Canada 26-12 to become the inaugural World Rugby Classic sevens champions.

Captain Nicklas Boyer scored two tries, with the other five-pointers coming from Cody Melphy and Maikeli Naromaitoga. Melphy, a former US sevens player, also kicked three conversions."
