April 11th 1960, one of the most important days for Northern Shaolin history. The Grandmaster Chan Kowk Wai arrived in São Paulo Brazil. He taught for 62 years there teaching approx 60,000 students. Over 150 became professors in their own right. The claim is there are over 150,000 practicing his teaching in Brazil alone. There are many countries worldwide where his disciples have continued his lineage. Argentina, USA, Spain, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Bermuda, some examples of his teachings reach. Bermuda has practiced this vital lineage for 48 years. We humbly thank Grandmaster Chan for his unselfish transmission of these age old teachings. RIP great master.

Today although the great man has passed his Birthday lives on amongst those who benefitted from his love, direction and his teaching. Either directly or indirectly his aura is felt in the Northern Shaolin community. He lives on through his family and his many disciples and their students that practice the trove of knowledge he left. He now is a guardian in heaven! God bless the Chans and the Sino Brasileira family. Happy Birthday Grand Master With Extreme Respect Chan Kowk Wai!

I am posting this for those who would like to know and for those who don't want anybody else to know.
Kai Yun Shaolin Academy with a healthy curriculum of 27 Kung Fu sets Northern Shaolin and Shaolin Temple, Hau Shan Pai, Little Golden Bell, Qi Gong. Kai Yun Shaolin Academy is structured around G.M.Chan’s teaching and etiquette striving toward his approval. Kent was warned by Master Rubio about detractors and was encouraged to follow the lineage and teach well. Along Kent’s journey he has gained 92 tournament awards, 21 trophies 71 medals with 75 wins 10 second and 7 third placing. Kent has learned 43 sets along the way but has discontinued practice of 13 practicing 30 teaching 27. The seven sets learned at B.A.F.A. and the six learnt at Wing Lam Kung Fu have become obsolete in Kent’s quest to complete Shaolin Do Norte of Chan Kowk Wai. [he graciously resigned these sets with humility and respect for their teachers].
