ITKF Global – Official Statement

The International Traditional Karate Federation (ITKF Global) observes with concern the growing tensions in various parts of the world, including armed conflicts, political disputes, religious divisions, and racial discrimination. These developments affect many individuals and communities, including members of the global karate family.

ITKF Global was founded with the purpose of promoting Traditional Karate as a path that strengthens friendship among people and contributes to the development of human character. Our Constitution affirms that the advancement of Traditional Karate should foster friendly relations among Member Organizations and their practitioners in all countries.

In accordance with this mission, ITKF Global remains strictly neutral in political, religious, and ideological matters. The role of ITKF Global is not to take sides in geopolitical disputes, but to preserve a space where practitioners from all parts of the world can train, compete, and cooperate with mutual respect.

Our Constitution establishes a fundamental principle guiding all ITKF Global activities:

“There shall be no discrimination against any nation or individual on racial, religious, or political grounds.”

This principle reflects the core philosophy of Traditional Karate. Karate practice is not only the study of physical techniques, but a lifelong discipline dedicated to the cultivation of respect, self control, responsibility, and the perfection of character.

Within the ITKF Global community, all nations and practitioners are treated with equal dignity. Participation in ITKF Global activities is open to all who respect our rules and uphold the ethical spirit of Traditional Karate.

We encourage all ITKF Global Member Organizations, instructors, athletes, and practitioners to continue upholding the spirit of Traditional Karate by demonstrating respect, fairness, and dignity toward all people. Through these values, Traditional Karate can continue to serve as a bridge between cultures and as a path toward stronger character and mutual understanding.

At a time when the world faces increasing division, the ITKF Global community reaffirms its commitment to unity through practice, respect through discipline, and friendship through Traditional Karate.
