Besides Oscar, almost all the others appeared non-efficient. They showed some will-power but that was not enough... The Dutch were splendid during the first 17 minutes, by already scoring 2 goals so early. Robben obtained a penalty after a foul from Thiago Silva who stopped his "speedy" run and he still "flew" (Or dived) a bit while falling :o . A bad head clearance from David Luiz brought the ball directly in the feet of Danny Blind (junior ;) ) and the latter just had to smash the ball into the net. Poor Julio Cesar :(

Argentina v/s Holland was the 2nd match of the semi-finals. Both Messi and Robben were barely visible in that match, the latter had a final effort to score but was blocked by Javier Alejandro Mascherano when he shot towards the net in the extra-time. thus it went to the penalty shoot-out and Argentina emerged victorious 4 -3 with Romero stopping 2 penalties, notably from Wesley Sneijder.

These 2 images sum it all about the disaster which struck the Brazilian public in Belo Horizonte stadium. If I tell you that Oscar scored at the 90th minute and it hardly had any change in emotions among razilian public, would you believe me?? FINAL Score 7- 1 for GERMANY . They were the strongest team before the start fo the world cup and against the Home team (Brazil), playing without their 2 best players (Neymar & Thiago Silva), they confirm their dominant status . Klose made the record he expected in becoming the greatest scorer of all times in World cup competition, a double from Kroos, the revealing star of Deutsch team, 1 goal from Muller, the confirmed star and 1 double from Schurle, the Chelsea forward, and another rgoal from Khedira made the Brazilians suffer one of their worst defeat in football history. A whole population is down. They may still target the third place against Holland on Saturday 12th July.

Tactics of a genius or simple management? After a goalless sheet between Holland and Costa Rica during normal 120 minutes, the Dutch coach did an eminent change in the last minute by choosing Krul to replace the No. 1 Goalkeeper :D and the results were there !! 4-3 in favour of Holland at the penalty kicks, with 2 saves from Tim Krul

Argentina 1 - 0 Belgium . With an assist from Di Maria after some dribbles by Messi, Gonzalo Higuain at last scores his goal in the tournament. In their 1st match of the tournament, it was the inverse : Leo Messi score with a pass from Higuain. Belgium did not have the power & demonstration it has against USA in the round of 16. Next time, maybe we will see them reach further :)

2nd match of Quarter finals : Brasil - Columbia 2 -1 . James Rodriguez manages to score, despite several faults on him and Brazil's central defenders got a goal each :) Thiago Silva and David Luiz were on top but the former was sanctioned with a yellow card, adn thus suspended for semi-finals :o James Rodriguez Oficial now has a tally of 6 goals and may claim the best scorer of the tournament. Neymar Jr. got seriously injured at the end of the match at his vertebrate column due to a hit from Colombian defender Zuniga.
