Some days I absolutely DO NOT feel like walking, jogging, stretching, or working out. 😩
But I've learned something about my body in my 40s: when I don't move, I feel it.
After sitting behind a desk for hours working, creating content, answering emails and handling business, my body starts reminding me that it wasn't designed to stay in one position all day.
The hips get tight. The back gets stiff. The shoulders start talking. 😂
So on the days when motivation isn't there, I make a decision to move anyway.
It doesn't always have to be an intense workout. Sometimes it's a walk. Sometimes it's a light jog. Sometimes it's mobility, stretching, or simply getting outside and moving my body.
At this stage of my life, movement isn't only about how I look.
It's about how I want to feel, function and continue living.
Motivation comes and goes. Movement has become part of how I care for myself.
So if you've been sitting for hours reading this…consider this your sign.
Get up. Your body is waiting. 😂💪🏽
