Bahamian Athlete Powers Nottingham into BUCS Water Polo Final with a nail biting finish with a 11-11 tie game and going into a penalty show down.
โ€œHope filled the air as Nottinghamโ€™s Nicholas Wallace-Whitfield swam up calmly to take the decisive penalty. He drove the ball into the left side of the goal, and in keeping his 100% record from the penalty spot won Nottingham the National Championship!โ€ ๐Ÿ†

Nicholas Wallace-Whitfield a Bahamian masterโ€™s student is making his mark in UK university sport, helping power the University of Nottingham into the BUCS water polo final, where they faced Durham this past Wednesday.
Nottingham secured their place in the final with dominant wins, beating Sheffield Hallam 48โ€“4 in the quarter-finals and Manchester Metropolitan 18โ€“10 in the semi-finals. The Bahamian national team player scored in both matches, contributing to the teamโ€™s strong run.

Currently pursuing a masterโ€™s degree in International Business, he brings high-level experience from the United States, where he competed in the MAWPC conference at the NCAA Division I level with Mount St. Maryโ€™s University and served as team captain in his senior year. He previously studied Economics during his time there.

Nicholas is also a member of The Bahamas senior national water polo team, continuing to represent his country ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ธ while competing abroad.

With the final championship behind him with a successful win, Nicholas has now secured an impressive season with the Nottingham BUCS winning their first championship title.

Congratulations Nicholas!!! ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ†
