WHO YOU EVEN IS?
Doesn’t really matter. In the grand scheme of the universe we aren’t as important as we think we are. There are no main characters. The story isn’t centered around any of us. Moses protested the call of the Lord by saying “Who am I?” As if his ethos mattered. As if the call was hinged on how spiritual he was or what qualifications came before his name. Or even the perspective of the Israelites that shunned him after he mudered the Egyptian. The only authority that mattered was the One who sent him. I Am Who I Am. Remain humble before that reality and confident in the God of your salvation. Resist pride just as He does and cling to His word.

The Meaning of EXODUS:
EXODUS is the Greek word for departure, or an outgoing - describing the movement of the Israelites from the land of Egypt.
Despite the name’s Greek origins, the book of EXODUS was actually written in Hebrew, thus its Hebrew transliteration is “Shemoth” meaning “these are the names”: the first words in the book of Exodus.
Exodus gives us insight, first into the people/sons of Jacob that came into Egypt and second, into the massive number of people that left by God’s divine deliverance.
It is clear depiction of God actively answering His people, remembering His promise and taking them on a journey with Him- to a new beginning: a land of greater promise.
It is also an invitation to us to do just what the Israelites did and choose to journey with God to a land of greater promise.

Have you ever felt forgotten by God? Or like the thing you’ve been praying and waiting for is not on God’s agenda?
Imagine the Israelites.. enslaved for 400 years and crying out to a God that seemed to have forgotten them in a place of punishment.
But God remembered… He had made a promise to their forefathers long before their bo***ge to bring them into a land that would flow with milk and honey. He remembered and sent help.
In the same way, God remembers you and is sending help. He has heard your cries to Him and you will see His hand in your life.
Be encouraged and know that God remembers His covenant.. *He remembers you*
