Shannen Miller, Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology & Sustainable Aquaculture, Unity College class of 2023.

"Before I started Unity, I was and currently am a PADI Staff Instructor, I worked along with the Perry Institute for Marine Science work as a Reef Rescue Instructor, also at Disney Castaway Cay as an aquarist performing husbandry duties and minor animal care.

I am from Nassau, Bahamas and I chose Unity because it is a college that focuses on environmental science. I am extremely passionate about the marine environment and aquatic life. I have always been fascinated by nature since I was a little girl. When I saw Unity College I knew it was a perfect fit and I was correct! I hope to become a marine biologist and master my field of work, obtain exposure, and have a better understanding of the marine environment.

My future goal is to establish my marine biology and dive school in the Bahamas to help push education about our ocean, marine environment, and how to preserve it."
