Bahamas Olympic Committee

The Bahamas Olympic Committee gives its support to the 7th Caribbean Baseball Cup, being held at the Andre Rodgers National Baseball Stadium in Nassau, The Bahamas.

Lamar Taylor’s swim streak led to a silver medal this evening – the second medal for Taylor and the third medal for The Bahamas – at the Second Junior Pan American Games. Taylor ended the 50m freestyle sprint second only to Brazilian, Guiherme Caribe, who set a Junior Pan American record at 21.72 in the process.

Lamar Taylor today swam his way into the 50m freestyle final, which will be held tonight as the Second Junior Pan American Games continues.

Lamar Taylor brought another bronze to The Bahamas' medal count with his performance in the 100m freestyle this evening at the Junior Pan American Games.

The Bahamas' mixed relay team finished in 6th place in a time of 3:37.23 at the Second Junior Pan American Games. The mark is a national record for the squad comprised of Zoe Williamson, Elyse Wood, Marvin Johnson, and Lamar Taylor.

A valiant swim for Elyse Wood brought her an 8th-place finish at Asunción25. She ended the final with a time of 1:03.37. Congratulations, Elyse!

The Bahamas swim team will be in pursuit of medals this evening at Asunción25 when the Mixed relay team swims in the finals at 6:19pm (Bahamas time) and Elyse Wood swims in the final of the 100 butterfly at 5:20pm (Bahamas time). Live coverage of the Games can be viewed at panamsportschannel.org.

With a third-place finish in her heat today, Elyse Wood secured her place in the Final of the 100m butterfly tonight at Asunción25.
