Easy sail for UA boys

UA Fc sealed the first victory of the tournament against the local home club Fc youngster 3-0 today. Fc youngster bows out of the tournament with straight second defeat but they will face Druk Lhayul in their last match.

It was very surprising to see that the local amateur club putting up a good fight against the established and elite clubs in the country. Defending was up to mark but failed to convert the chances they created.

UA broke the deadlock at 22 minutes when left defender Tandin Dorji found the ball back of the net. The first half was evenly matched, very physical and not many chances were created. Kinley Lhendup scored the second goal at 56th minutes and Tenzin scored the third goal at the end of 90+.

But the home team did manage to get a penalty kick which could have been a game-changer as UA was just leading by 2 goals. But UA goalkeeper Tenzin Dorji denied the goal and was awarded man of the match for his outstanding goalkeeping.
