Respect Beyond Borders: A Friendly Clash of Passion and Unity
Saturday, 21st June 2025 – Samtse, Bhutan
In a heartwarming display of sportsmanship and international friendship, Samtse witnessed a memorable football match between Samtse FC and Georgian FC from Kalimpong, India. The friendly match, held on Saturday, was more than just a game, it was a celebration of unity, mutual respect, and a shared love for football that transcends borders.
As a mark of respect and friendship, Dasho Dzongda of Samtse presented a memento and a Samtse FC certificate to Georgian FC. The gesture symbolized not only appreciation for their visit but also the hope for continued friendship and collaboration through the beautiful game.
Samtse FC and the people of Samtse extend heartfelt thanks to Georgian FC for making the journey and being part of such a meaningful exchange.The event will be remembered not just for the goals scored on the field but for the connections that made it a true testament to how football can bring people together across cultures and borders.

One week intense mini tennis program initiated by SDSA concluded today with 45 participants. In this weeklong program they were introduced with forehand backhand control service & vallys. They were also taught LifeSkill. This program used to be held every year before covid after covid this is the first time tennis is again trying to revive in Samtse.

Samtse Dzongkhag Sports Association is delighted to announce the successful completion of the Chess Tournament held yesterday. This event followed a week-long coaching session, designed to introduce and refine chess skills among participants.
The program was organized to engage our youth meaningfully during their free time, offering a healthy and constructive way to keep their minds active and refreshed, encourages critical thinking, strategic planning, and effective analysis skills that are invaluable both on and off the board.
We are thrilled to recognize the achievements of our participants:

We are pleased to announce two exciting programs at Samtse Dzongkhag for enthusiastic learners:
1. Chess Learning Program
This one-week program will be conducted by Women Candidate Master Asha Huang Limboo and is open to participants aged 12–18 years.
Venue: Samtse Lower Secondary School (SLSS)
Time: 5:20 PM (Weekdays)
Dates: January 20–25, 2025
Special Note: On Saturday (Jan 25), the session will be held from 1 PM to 5 PM, followed by a competition among participants.
2. Mini Tennis Program
Led by Bhutan Tennis Federation Coach Kinley, this program is designed for participants aged 12–15 years.
Venue: Army Camp
