Concluding intra-class outdoor tournament on 27th April 2026.

The intra-class outdoor tournament was a meaningful and enjoyable experience for all students. It encouraged strong teamwork and helped develop valuable leadership skills among participants. Throughout the games, students demonstrated true sportsmanship, respecting both teammates and opponents. The event also promoted a healthy life by engaging everyone in physical activity. Above all, the tournament was filled with great enthusiasm, making it a memorable and rewarding experience for everyone involved.

Gelephu Middle Secondary School took part in Rollpa session with six participants and it was a wonderful game and opportunity for students to explore this game.

Gelephu Middle Secondary School students presented their talent, skills, and hard work in 17th National school sports meet held at Sarpang CS and MSS from 23rd to 28th December 2025.

Total 420 students took part in various discipline from 20 dzongkhag and Thromde.

Our girls made to semi-final in basketball and lost volleyball match in league round.

School administration would like to really appreciate student participant, escorts and bus driver for sacrificing their vacation to represent school in grand national sports event organized by Ministry of education and skill development in collaboration with Bhutan Olympic Committee.

Gelephu Middle Secondary School achieved 1st and 2nd runner-up in third category (U-16) in inter school chess competition held at Losel Gyatsho Academy funded by Bhutan Chess Federation on 13th September 2025.

The Secondary Level School Sports Carnival was successfully conducted on 3rd May 2025 at the Gelephu Middle Secondary School. The event brought together students from three schools: Gelephu Lower Secondary School (LSS), Gelephu Middle Secondary School (MSS), and Gelephu Higher Secondary School (HSS).

Participants competed in two main categories: Junior (Classes VII and VIII) and Senior (Classes IX and X) with exhibition match between GLSS staff and GMSS staff. The sports carnival featured a variety of ball games and indoor events, showcasing the talent, determination, and team spirit of the students.

The main objectives of the carnival were to encourage participation in sports, build self-confidence, provide exposure, and promote a healthy and active lifestyle among students. The enthusiastic involvement of all participants, along with strong support from school staff and spectators, ensured the event was both competitive and enjoyable.

In conclusion, the sports carnival was a grand success, fostering a sense of unity and sportsmanship among the students. It served as a platform for young athletes to shine and emphasized the importance of physical education in school.
