On this auspicious day, June 2nd, the Bhutan Baseball and Softball Association (BBSA) joins the entire nation in commemorating the Coronation Day of His Majesty The Fourth Druk Gyalpo, Jigme Singye Wangchuck.

His Majesty's visionary reign gifted us the profound philosophy of Gross National Happiness (GNH) , placing the well being of every Bhutanese above all else. Through his selfless leadership, wisdom, and unwavering love for the people, Bhutan emerged as a beacon of peace, prosperity, and sovereignty on the world stage.

On this historic day, BBSA offers our deepest gratitude, humble prayers, and unwavering loyalty to His Majesty's enduring legacy.

⚾🥎 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐀 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐁𝐒𝐀.

BBSA hosted its final academy session before the mid-term break, bringing together 35 dedicated young athletes from the U12 and U15 age groups.

The group included:
✅ Previously selected academy players
✅ Newly selected standouts from this year’s U12 & U15 School Baseball and Softball League

With mid-term examinations starting in mid-June, this session served as the last training block before a short academic pause. But rest assured, the energy and focus on the field were at an all-time high.

After exams, the journey continues with the BBSA Summer Camp 2026, where these young players will pick up right where they left off, sharper and more determined than ever.

Another season has come to an end. And what a season it was.

𝐉𝐨𝐲. 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤. 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬. 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐡. We saw every kind of emotion on and off the field this U15 season. But most importantly, we saw 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐓𝐇.

The standard is improving every season , from our young players to our young coaches and officials. Everyone is raising the bar.

We are not there yet. But step by step, we are walking toward a brighter future for baseball and softball in Bhutan, especially for our youth.

To Royal Bodyguard (RBG) and Dechencholing HSS, thank you for your continuous support since we became an association in 2021. You gave us a home when we had none.

To the over 130 kids who participated in Season 5 , you are the reason we do this. Every swing, every pitch, every smile.

Between championship games , we took a break for something special, an Exhibition Match between our officials and our coaches.

And what a blast it was! 😄⚾🥎

🫡 COACHES TEAM: Speed, youth, and absolutely no fear

The result?
A whole lot of laughter, friendly trash talk, unexpected runs, and celebrations that would rival any finals game.

Thank you to both teams for reminding us that baseball and softball are not just about competition, they're about community, joy, and loving the game.

The weather blessed us for an absolutely thrilling day of youth baseball and softball at the Royal Bodyguard Astro Field, Dechencholing. ☀️⚾🥎

⚾ 𝗨𝟭𝟱 𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦:

🏆 Dechencholing HSS : Clinched the title, making this their 3rd championship in 5 seasons.

🥈 Runners-up: Lungtenzampa MSS : What a turnaround! From last place in Season 4 to fighting tooth and nail in the Season 5 finals. A statement season for LMSS.

🥎 𝗨𝟭𝟱 𝗦𝗢𝗙𝗧𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦:

🏆 Dechencholing HSS: Dominant once again, securing their 2nd championship in 5 seasons!

🥈 Runners-up: Jigme Namgyel LSS : Stayed strong and competitive until the 4th inning, when DHSS changed the entire game scenario. A heroic effort from JNLSS!
