It is envisaged to solicit support from the different sectors of the Church, Government Departments, Private Sector and Development Partners. The objective for the UCCSA Cycling activity is to provide a quality event that will reward participants for their involvement, and also benefit our charity partnership.
This event has three different categories being 10km walk against GBV, 50km & 100km for cycling.
10km
The 10km walk against Gender Based Walk will be held under the theme “fighting GBV begins with me” During the walk there shall be messages, posters and detailed pamphlets which will be given to people as way of relaying the message about GBV. This walk will have a registration/ selling of tickets at a fee of P 50.00.
( 50km & 100km)
The aim of this two categories is to raise funds for the church community based project and organizational event. As we know the church has from long time supported government and other private sector company, we found it worth to embark in cycling sport to show them the that we as the church care about their spiritual aspects as we will be reaching out to each one out there not only to our members to anyone who needs our services, this where we will be addressing issues of pre and post marriage and counselling, bereavement counselling, GBV talks, alcohol and drug abuse and family planning.
This cycling will have a registration of P 100.00 for 50km and P150.00 for 100km.
If you can’t walk then cycle, if you can’t cycle then walk. “ Doing this for God’s people❤️”
