We’ll be hosting an introduction training and we’re currently engaging partners and sponsors to make this a reality.

What a Easter weekend at the Thobega Easter Challenge! 🤺🔥

Cadets, juniors, and seniors all took to the piste and gave us incredible bouts from start to finish. We were honored to host fencers from South Africa and Namibia who used the tournament as prep for the Commonwealth Games this August 2026 🇧🇼🇿🇦🇳🇦

Huge thanks to every athlete, coach, referee, and supporter who made it happen. The energy was unreal and the level of fencing keeps rising.

🇧🇼🇧🇼🤺🤺Botswana Federation Update
We are proud to share that our coach Camille Tshepang Gombalume recently represented Botswana at the FIE Women in Sport Seminar held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 26 March to the 3rd of April 2026.
The seminar, organized by the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime (FIE), brought together women from across the world to empower, educate, and develop leadership in fencing. Following the seminar, participants also had the opportunity to take part in a training camp alongside the Junior World Championships.
We are pleased to announce that our coach successfully completed both the seminar and the training camp, earning certification for participation—an important step in developing fencing in Botswana.
Botswana had proudly selected two junior athletes, Rethabile Mabaka and Katso Lesejane, to compete at the championships. However, due to the current global situation, parents understandably had concerns about international travel, and the athletes were unable to attend.
We remain committed to growing fencing in Botswana and creating more opportunities for our athletes to compete on the international stage.
