THE ATHLETES COMMISSION IS HEADING TO THE SAFARI CLASSIC! 🏀

We are excited to announce that the Athletes Commission will be part of the Ballin n Da Bush Safari Classic, taking place from 28–30 September 2026 at the University of Botswana Indoor Sports Arena, Gaborone.

The Athletes Commission will have a stall at the event, where athletes and members of the sporting community can come by, connect with us and learn more about the work of the Commission as the voice and advocate for athletes in Botswana.

And of course, this is a basketball experience you DON’T want to miss! With teams from different countries and some exciting basketball stars expected to grace the tournament, it promises to be a celebration of basketball, talent and sport.

The countdown is officially over! Under the leadership of our Chef de Mission Ms. Tebogo Ntesang, Team Botswana is gearing up to conquer the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, taking place from 23 July to 2 August 2026.

Our extraordinary delegation of athletes, coaches, and managers is ready to fly the blue, black, and white flag high on the global stage.
Botswana will be competing across four thrilling sporting codes:

🏐 ATHLETE PROFILE | Tshepiso Molapisi

Meet Tshepiso Molapisi (22), an Outside Attacker for Kutlwano Volleyball Club who has dedicated 12 years to the sport she loves.

From picking up volleyball in primary school, encouraged by her older brother, to proudly representing Botswana on regional and international stages, Tshepiso’s journey is a testament to discipline, resilience, and consistency.

Some of her career highlights include:

• Botswana Select Team member for the Ditsala International Cup (2024, 2025 & 2026)
• Multiple regional and international silver medals, including CUCSA South Africa 2024 and the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 (Unified Partner)
• Region 5 Games Gold Medal (Lilongwe, 2022)

For Tshepiso, being an athlete is about more than just winning; it’s about discipline, showing up every single day, and paving the way for the next generation of local talent. Her ultimate dream? Taking her talent to the professional international stage.

When she's not dominating the court, you can find her dancing, vibing to music, or enjoying a good meal. Right now, she’s focused on the future, reminding us all: "Stay consistent. Talent is not enough. Show up everyday and believe in yourself."
