🏐 A New Chapter for Grassroots Netball Development!

The Botswana Netball Association (BONA), in partnership with the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC), is proud to announce the establishment of the XAKAO Re Ba Bona Ha (RBBH) Centre the second RBBH Centre under BONA.

This milestone reflects our shared commitment to identifying, nurturing, and developing young netball talent from the grassroots level, while creating more opportunities for children to participate in sport.

As part of the launch, BONA successfully conducted a Beginner Netball Coaching Course for coaches from XAKAO Primary School and XAKAO Sport Trust. A total of 27 coaches were trained, comprising 16 women and 11 men, strengthening the foundation for quality coaching within the community.

We extend our sincere appreciation to BNSC, XAKAO Primary School, XAKAO Sport Trust, the participants, and everyone who contributed to making this initiative a success. Together, we are building a stronger future for Botswana netball one community at a time.

Botswana Takes on Eswatini in the Netball Test Series!

Botswana is this week hosting Eswatini in an exciting Netball Test Series in Jwaneng. This international fixture promises high-intensity competition, exceptional talent, and an opportunity for our national team to fine-tune preparations ahead of upcoming World Cup Qualifiers’ assignment.

Come and rally behind our girls as they proudly wear the national colours and showcase Botswana's passion, determination, and excellence on the court.

REGION 5 SELECTIONS COMPLETE!

The Botswana Netball Association (BONA) has successfully concluded the Region 5 Netball Team Selections held at the BONA Courts in Gaborone.

A total of 78 talented players from across the country participated in the highly competitive selection process, with 24 players earning a place in the provisional squad.

The team is under the following management;
• Gaolathe Mathare— Manager
• ⁠Kempho Gosalamang--Head Coach
• ⁠Kagisano Mawela—Ass.Coach

The selections showcased the depth of talent, commitment, and promising future of Botswana netball.

BONA extends its heartfelt congratulations to the selected players and commends every athlete who participated with passion, determination, and sportsmanship. Your dedication continues to strengthen the future of our sport.

To those selected, this is the beginning of the journey. Wear the Botswana colours with pride, continue to work hard, and prepare to represent the nation with excellence.

Botswana Netball Association successfully hosted a productive Umpire Training Session, bringing together officials committed to developing their knowledge, skills, and confidence in officiating the game.

The session provided valuable insights into the Rules of Netball, match management, and on-court decision-making, equipping participants to officiate with greater consistency and professionalism.

Botswana Netball Association extends its sincere appreciation to our facilitators, Theo Moletsane and Rose Wolmarans, for their outstanding leadership, expertise, and dedication to the development of netball officials in Botswana.

Meet the Umpires of the 7th Edition of the Find The Ball Netball Tournament.

Behind every great netball tournament is a team of exceptional match officials. As we conclude our series introducing some of the continent's finest umpires, we are proud to unveil the full panel of Category A and Category B Umpires who will officiate at the 7th Edition of the Find The Ball Netball Tournament.

This year's tournament has assembled an outstanding group of officials from Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Zambia, bringing together a wealth of international and continental experience. Collectively, they have officiated at the Africa Netball Cup, World Netball Youth World Cup Africa Qualifiers, COSANA Championships, League matches and numerous international test matches across Africa and beyond.

Their presence is a reflection of the growing stature of Find The Ball as one of Southern Africa's premier club netball tournaments. World-class players deserve world-class officiating, and the quality of this panel guarantees that every match will be managed with professionalism, integrity and consistency.

To every umpire preparing for the 2026 Find The Ball, thank you for answering the call to serve the game. Your dedication, commitment and expertise ensure that the spirit of fair play remains at the heart of this tournament.

The Botswana Netball Association Senior Ladies National Team is currently in camp in Jwaneng* from 05 to 12 July 2026, preparing for assignments ahead.
