They came and they conquered, congratulations to Tebogo Tlhogwane on DG Caliana, and Nicoline Goosen on Dansawil Apocalypse who had a cracker ride on the 80KM Gabs Endurance Challenge. Another achievement was from Sello Lekgwe on Patch and Esne Campher on Valentine who successfully completed their 30KM novice rides, to the rest of the riders well, you know the saying “ To complete is to win”. Well done to all the riders of Gab Endurance Challenge and Fun Ride you are all winners, it was a safe and beautiful day, we look forward to a bigger one next season.

GABS ENDURANCE CHALLENGE & FUN RIDE

Well, you saw the Team Building Fun Ride Proposal, and you made a Request for an Individual Rider Option…well we listened, we are fitting to listen just in the same way we and the beautiful species listen to each other since the beginning!

The Individual Riders Option is now available for your enjoyment. The individual riders will be transported from Bojanala Waterfront by vehicle to the Gaborone Dam and enjoy a stretch guided ride along the dam scenery.

What’s provided

· Riding basic training

· Each rider is provided with a horse and complete tack and guide

· Water and a fruit pack

· Rescue One on site for medical requirements/emergencies

Hello Horse Lovers,

We are excited to bring you the Gabs Endurance Challenge & Fun Ride scheduled for the 24th October 2020. The Gabs Endurance Challenge & Fun Ride will be held at the Bojanala Waterfront from 5am & 7am, taking a loop around the spectacular Gaborone Dam to offer the riders an experience out of this world. Endorsed by The Horse Society of Botswana (HSB), Gabs Endurance Challenge & Fun Ride is aligned to the HSB’s main objective which is to facilitate and support an environment where Equestrian athletes can thrive and enjoy the sport at all levels.

How to be part of the Ride

1. To join the Endurance Challenge Ride you need to have a horse and complete tack. The distances available are as follows;
• HSB NATIONAL ENDURANCE RIDE: 80km
• HSB NATIONAL ENDURANCE RIDE: 60km
• ELEVATOR SYSTEM/TRAPLEER: 80km
• UNOFFICIAL COMPETITION: 30 km

2. To Join the 10 km Fun Ride: This is packaged as a team building fun ride to be enjoyed by a group of 4 members, 6 members or 8 members. Teams will be provided with horses with complete tack. You do not need to be a skilled rider, if you got the heart and love for the majestic animals, you are within! We will teach you the basics and who knows, you could be the next discovered equine athlete. 3. Spectators are welcome and will enter the venue on a first come first serve basis to keep tab of the numbers in accordance with the Covid 19 protocols.
