2025 Africa Cup of Nations; Competitive Outlook
With the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations fast approaching, based on my recent research and technical analysis, several national teams have emerged as strong contenders capable of progressing deep into the tournament.

This assessment is derived from an evaluation of current form, squad composition, tactical organisation, and recent continental performances. The detailed findings of this research will be made public following the conclusion of the tournament. However, elements of the analysis have already been shared with selected institutions, including the Botswana National Sports Council and the Botswana Ministry of Sports.

Based on this research, the following nations are projected as likely semi-finalists and potential finalists, listed in no particular order:

1. Morocco, 2. Mali, 3. Comoros, 4. Nigeria, 5. Senegal, 6. DR Congo, 7. Algeria, 8. Burkina Faso, 9. Equatorial Guinea, 10. Ivory Coast, 11. Cameroon, 12. Benin, 13. Gabon, 14. Angola

These teams combine experienced international players, emerging talent, and coherent tactical structures, factors that historically influence success in the latter stages of AFCON competitions.

LOANING OF PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL PLAYERS
A loan transfer constitutes a temporary assignment of a player's registration rights between clubs, accompanied by a relocation of the player's professional workplace. Such movement may materially alter the player's employment terms, including but not limited to their working environment, geographical placement, compensation package, and competitive opportunities.
FIFA statutes mandate that all loan arrangements must be documented in a binding written contract, expressly requiring the player's voluntary consent. Fundamentally, the loan mechanism establishes a tripartite relationship between the lending club, borrowing club, and the player themselves. The transaction cannot be legally effected absent the player's express agreement to all stipulated loan conditions.

Last week I embarked on a journey to Ghana for an international scouting programme through our other organisation, FACAOfficial, in partnership with some local businessmen.

It was a highly successful programme in the coastal city of Cape Coast at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium where Ghana national team, the Black Stars regularly host their matches.

With fifteen matches played featuring thirty teams/academies mainly from the central region and at least six hundred players showcasing their talent, it was a great atmosphere.

A few professional football players, coaches and club presidents grazed the occasion, making it a really enjoyable event.

I also had the chance to have a couple of radio interviews, have meetings with my players, coaches, potential clients and take a short flight from Accra to Kumasi for some business meetings.

A great time at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS/CAS). This is where justice is and will be served from both Ordinary and Appeals
from final decisions of National leagues, National Associations and International Associations and Federations. No decision will go unchallenged from any body that issues decisions through its internal Tribunals.
CAS is an independent Tribunal and supreme body in Sports-related cases - the very best with the finest arbitrators in the entire planet.
If there is anyone who has cases made up against them by some people in Organisations, who serve their own interests, don't despair. All you need is to get in touch and we will assist you to get justice through the CAS.

It was a great experience to attend IFAM Football Moot & International Sport Lawyer Association Law (ISLA) conference in Platja d'Aro, Costa Brava, SPAIN.

The objectives of the conference were to:

1. To network with other people in the Sports industry (Associations, Lawyers and Agents), especially football and cooperate in the development of the industry.

2. To give young aspiring sports lawyers a real experience of handling CAS proceedings, sharpen their skills and prepare them to the real world of arbitration before CAS.

3. To create a platform for aspiring sports lawyers to sharpen their skills in negotiations on contracts, and image rights.

During this this time, I had a chance to meet very bright young sports law students from all over the world, Football agents from top leagues in Europe, top sports lawyers representing top European clubs and CAS arbitrators.

It was an invaluable learning curve and experience that I will forever cherish and use for the benefit of my clients.
